Febuary 2007Welcome to Chakra Astrology. This look reflects the wisdom of the ancients. Each sign is ruled by one of the 7 planets (stars) that can be seen in the sky with our eyes. From the top down, they are: Jupiter, the Moon, Venus, Mercury, the Sun, Mars and Saturn. These 7 planets equate with the 7 Chakras, which is reflected by the colors below. Each sign is color coded to match the Chakra it corresponds with.
General forcast for January: Mercury follows Venus into Pisces this month, making us all more romantic and dreamy than usual, and perhaps more psychic and prophetic as well. But it can also help us to succeed in business, especially those that rely on or use words for their success. February New and Full Moon cycles create a universal focus on letting go of individual Ego and personality and shifting focus to the masses and the needs of the many. SAGITTARIUS (11/23-12/22) -A whole team of people seem to have joined together and as a group they refuse to see your point of view. You are not imagining it, nor can you change it. You’ll just have to wait it out, progress will be slow now, but by the end of the month, at least the pressure and the gossip eases up.
PISCES (2/21-3/20) - There’s a ships crew that seems to be dead set on mutiny. There’s always something to be learned from any voyage that’s gone astray, even if it’s just how not to make the same leadership mistakes. Now is the time to learn from the mistakes of others so that you can be somewhat prepared for the only certainty ahead – unpredictability?
CANCER (6/23-7/22) - February’s Moon themes relate to letting go of personal Ego attachments and embracing change, innovation, humanitarian ideals and putting the needs of the many over the needs of the individual. Release attachment to offspring and creative projects after the Full Moon in Leo (Feb 2) until the New Moon in Aquarius on the 19 th . After the New Moon is the time to embrace innovation, rebellion and eccentricity – politics is also highlighted.
LIBRA (9/23-10/22) - Oh the excitement and the social whirl. We could call this party season for you as you make sure to go out where you can see and be seen. Excess is all too easy though, so try to keep some reasonable limits to your behavior, or else you will feel it later. Everything is best in moderation – even moderation. You could land a valuable prize now though - so keep your eyes peeled for lady luck - she’s smiling on you now.
TAURUS (4/21-5/21) -Feb starts with both romance and fantasy, which is scintillating. Around the 7 th be careful not overestimate your resources or overextend yourself due to social excitement. If you are practical and organized you will wind up making solid progress now and putting yourself in a power position by mid month. Some messages fall flat on Valentine’s Day – so don’t have big expectations.
VIRGO (8/23-9/22) -Either you or a significant other can’t quite make up your mind this month. But don’t try to bring your friends into it, all this will do is make the distance between you grow and delay problems until April. In a battle of loyalty between friendship and a new alliance with a powerful ally, this month you choose power. Will the friendship survive?
GEMINI (5/22-6/22) -The Retrograde of Mercury could bring about a change of heart for you, and even make you nostalgic for whatever was going on last month. You’re not being pressured this Valentine’s Day, and you’d sooner not go to the party than face an uncomfortable scenario. You can avoid tension now, but it will come back for resolution in April, so don’t expect it to go away altogether.
LEO (7/23-8/22) - Around the 8 th you feel the need to cut some sort of tie or financial obligation. Maybe you decide to make an asset liquid or end a business alliance or creative partnership. Endings might not be easy, but they make room for new growth that fills a dead or useless space that isn’t serving your highest purpose any longer. Let go with joy and it will flow more easily.
ARIES (3/21-4/20) Mars Planetary energy behaves extremely well in Capricorn all month, very ambitious, goal oriented and hard working – not to mention industrious, so make it work for you as you get closer and closer to a cherished dream. Your efforts are especially effective mid-month, even while pushing through some tough obstacles. By month’s end the world is literally your oyster, think big, and you will get all the assistance and resources you need.
SCORPIO (10/23-11/22) - Running things is one of your more achievable goals this month, especially when you step in and moderate excesses that you see around you. Your common sense will be hailed as genius and will land you with further trust and responsibility from powerful allies. The only warning; don’t ever argue your point right now, just prove it with action. You can have important meetings and get your ideas across effectively this month - so make the most of it.
AQUARIUS (1/22-2/20) - The unyielding perspective of a partner or significant other could be maddening this month. But a disappearing act won’t solve anything. The only resolution possible comes from showing up and facing up to challenges. And by the end of the month a workable solution may even begin to emerge. This month, both time and patience are your friends.
CAPRICORN (12/23-1/21) - An unrelenting and inflexible point of view is hardly something to be proud of. Things that will not bend, almost always break once the wind blows strong enough. Kindness is the only law that counts right now, as the winds are definitely gathering force. By next month Gail forces break even the most inflexible of boughs.

Yahoo just posted this story: The SAG awards have been handed out. They make top mention of Eddie Murphy winning for Best Supporting Actor, and co-star Jennifer Hudson sweeping the Best Supporting Actress category (Murphy is a Pisces). In my last post I noted that the March Eclipses take place in Virgo and Pisces, and I noted that we are already under thier spell. It is thrilling to see Murphy getting the attention of his peers in this way, after such a long and winding career. It is something of an Eclipse in the sense that there is now a radical change in his career and reputation.
But more to the Astrological point are the awards for Best Actor and Best Actress given to Hellen Mirren (Leo) for “The Queen” and Forrest Whitaker (Cancer) for playing Idi Amin in “The Last King of Scotland.” Those of you who have joined my Astrology Conference Calls know that I call the Sun - THE KING and the Moon - THE QUEEN. I couldn’t ask for a more relevant SAG awards ceremony! What makes this even more interesting is that Helen Mirren is a LEO - which is ruled by the SUN (and which I call the KING) and Forest Whitaker is a CANCER - which is ruled by the MOON (and which I call the QUEEN). An Eclipse is literally the time when one obscures the other. This year the battle of the sexes is on and we shall see who ultimately wins the Oscar nod - it could be one, it could be the other, it could be both, or it could be neither.
The SAG awards are highly treasured and coveted by actors - because they indicate the approval of the other actors in the world, which is the toughest audience of all to impress. While we travel through the sign of Aquarius, the approval of peers is perhaps the most important thing of all since our emphasis is on group activities and social standing. It is no accident that Aquarius is the time of the year that is commonly referred to as “Awards Season.” The air crackles with excitement and anticipation, no one knows what’s coming next, outfits are extravegant and the crowd is reveted on a single point of focus. This is the heart of the Aquarius side of the energy that I call the “RUBY RAY.” This year we have 2 Total Eclipses which goes a very long way towards explaining the current fascination with the King and Queen energy as they Eclipse each other, both in the sky, and in our entertainment mediums. To learn more; join my Astrology Conference Calls on Tuesday nights.
This is an overview of the Eclipses that take place in 2007 and what trends they indicate. This is a general overview of what is in store for everyone on a universal level. Personal individual aspects will vary to a huge degree and can only be interpreted by a qualified professional.
Every year there are at least 2 pairs of Eclipses. Some years there are 3 pairs. In 2007 we have two pairs, each pair consists of a Solar Eclipse and a Lunar Eclipse 6 months apart from each other. Usually the two halves of the Eclipse pair (Solar and Lunar) occur in opposing signs, but they always occur on opposing sides of the Zodiac. The actual degree of opposition varies a little, which is why they may not always occur in opposing signs. For example a late degree - say 29′ Aries Eclipse may have a partner eclipse that doesn’t occur at 29′ Libra (it’s opposite degree) but instead makes it’s way into the following sign of Taurus, at an early degree - say 1′ Taurus. It is still within the range of opposition around the 360′ circle that is the Zodiac, but no longer in opposing signs. In 2007 both Eclipse pairs fall in the opposing signs of Virgo and Pisces. This means that in 2007 we will have one Lunar AND one Solar Eclipse falling in BOTH Virgo and Pisces.
Eclipses are important because they indicate timing in a chart. The formula for this is complicated, just remember that the place (Degree) where the Eclipse happens is called a ‘Sensitive Point’ and whenever another planet triggers that point within about 2 months (sometimes much, much longer) - either before or after the Eclipse then an event will take place. That event is related to the story that the Eclipse tells in an individual chart.
This Years Eclipse Dates: Lunar - Total March 3/4 Virgo 13′ (Saros Series 123) Solar - Partial March 19 Pisces 28′07″ Pisces (Saros Series 149) Lunar - Total August 28 Pisces 4′46 (Saros Series 128) Solar - Partial September 11 Virgo 18′25″ (Saros Series 154)
Both Lunar Eclipses are TOTAL - as you can see above.
What it Means: The VIRGO - PISCES pair of signs relate to issues of health, routine, service industries (Virgo) and spiritual energy, crops, patents, gas, and many of our modern conveniences (devices, etc). The bottom line of all this is that there will be huge changes in our health care system, health related issues will crop up, including pets and domestic animals as well as transformations of our service related industries. On the other hand food supply issues will increase (a continuation of last years Fall Eclipse which fell on the USA’s Neptune and co-incided with the tainted spinach incidents that were all over the news last fall). Issues with church and clergy will emerge more strongly. We will also see fights and concerns over devices of modern convenience and patents as well as real estate. One indicator of this that has already made the news is the new Apple iPhone. I was literally drooling over this revolutionary device during the Steve Jobs Keynote speech a few weeks ago, which in and of itself is enough to point to the Eclipse effect - revolution and transformation are the heart of Eclipse effects. Add to that the fact that the next day Sisco sued Apple for the name iPhone - which they apparently own. I would not underestimate the effects that this tiny iPhone device will have on the entire technical business sector - it’s existence is the result of over 200 patents that will severely tilt the playing field in Apple’s favor in the coming years. THIS is just a taste of what will come in 2007 with these Eclipses.
Useful VS. Significant - the great minds of the day are predicting that significance will become more and more important as our marketplace becomes more and more saturated with many versions of products that serve the same USE. This is the result of a prosperous economy. We will buy things because they are beautiful, created by a designer, or give us joy or fun in some way. The fact that we have 2 complete Lunar Eclipses this year absolutely indicates intense and irrational desires and motivations rising to the surface for people as well as large groups of people. This could even result in riots of some kind.
Outsourcing - We can basically say goodbye to business as usual. I am making no moral judgement here, but the facts show that any job that is routine or can be systemized is getting shipped abroad. This will completely change the nature of the work force in America. Will you be ready?
Customer Service (it’s a virgo thing) - seems to have disappeared from America, and I do believe that the public has had enough of it. This in and of itself can take down huge corporations who have allowed their customer service to get away from them. Technology serves a purpose, but when the cost is our humanity, then who wants it? Companies like Google and other’s in the ‘automated’ businesses will have to face the results of a lack of human caring for the customer.
What must we give up? The nature of the Eclipse patterns ask us to give something up, or to put it another way, make another decision based on more information. This is only as terrible as our insistence on holding onto the past. Actually, it can bring in huge blessings - but only from self-responsible action. Here’s an example that I like: let’s say a smoker wants to experience radiant health and freedom from the craving for cigarettes. Well, they are going to have to decide to put down the cigarettes and take self-responsible actions to make sure that they get over the addiction in order to have that radiant health and freedom from cravings. But nobody else can do it for them - only the smoker. In other words spritual growth comes from within. I used to work with a guy who whenever I went up to the counter and asked him make change for a large bill, would invariably say, “Change comes from Within.” Indeed it does.
Starting Now - The Eclipse Effects are already beginning (or have begun). It’s really just a matter of seeing the handwriting on the wall and acting appropriately to make the most of their blessings and minimize any crisis they may bring. This is what we can do as individuals. On the more social or universal level, I do expect that we will see crisis in the areas that I’ve mentioned.
If you would like a private session to evaluate the Eclipse effects for you personally this year, then schedule an Astrology Reading with me.
this week Jan 19-25: The week begins with a Capricorn New Moon which asks us to spend the next 2 weeks building and imagining new structures and rules to live by. This can be anything from starting a new exercise program to setting a new work schedule for ourselves or creating steps and plans towards the achievement of a goal or ambition. We also transition out of Capricorn and into Aquarius which shifts the mood away from rules and order and towards our greater society, the groups and ‘clan’ that we belong to. Emphasis is still on the rules, but now we are all more concerned with the rules of society, fitting in with peers and the greater good than with individual work or achievement.

this week Jan 12-18: Harsh words over the weekend could hurt someone’s reputation, try not to participate. It’s a good week for fashion and design though, and creativity is in high gear and adds to charisma and personal appeal. Attention and publicity is a very mixed bag now, some exposure is better than others, and what makes headlines might not actually be the full story, so don’t take things on face value, dig a little deeper for the truth. Hi, we are pleased to announce the first Weekly edition of the Whole Person Astrology Newsletter. - Share this Newsletter with Friends who also love Astrology. Below is an excerpt from the First Newsletter… 1st chakra We are in the Sign of Capricorn which is governed by Saturn and the 1st Chakra. I call this the Red Ray: During this time we are all more concerned with rules, obligations, ambition work and achievement. We are also focused on family, community and getting our basic needs met. The upside of the Red Ray is discipline and creating ways to serve our community. The downside can be rigidity and disconnection from heart and feelings.
this week Jan 4-11: When Mercury joins the Sun - as he does for most of the next week, it is always good for stretching our minds and learning something new. The combination in Capricorn will give us tangible plans for success and guide us all in scaling any mountain top that stands between us and our dreams. Focus is on goals, setting them, taking steady steps towards them and ultimately making it happen. Nothing makes Capricorn sigh a deeper sigh of relief than being able to say, “Aaaaah, I”ve finally gotten here.” Then they relax just long enough to spy the next peak they want to hurdle. So this week, that is what we are all thinking about; Goals and how to achieve them. FOR ALL 12 SIGNS SUBSCRIBE BELOW…

Each sign is color coded to match the Chakra it corresponds with.
General forcast for January: The first week of January is both romantic and blessed for success – talk about getting the year off on the right foot!  Make the most of these blessed energies by setting your intentions for 2007, writing your goals and generally believing that all your dreams can come true.  They can, and this could be the year for it too – especially if you set those intentions now while the stars are on your side.  The 2nd and 8th are particularly powerful for business and financial matters.
There is some conflict in Mid January when things get a bit competitive and timing and co-ordination of efforts is off kilter. Also be wary of contract or legal disputes where you could be tripped up on the smallest details - just wait to sign contracts. And the financial squeeze is on at the end of January, amid things breaking down, like electronics and other not so dependable appliances. Family and love is the great saving grace at the end of the month though, so enjoy it. Join my current TELECLASS SERIES Visit AstrologyChick for the details.

SAGITTARIUS (11/23-12/22) - The energy of adventure has you nearly ready to reach a boiling point early in the month. Conflicts of interest are everywhere and navigating it is tricky for you – but you hold all the cards in your hands while Jupiter stays at home in Sag. You have a good reputation and people see you very favorably, which puts you in the ideal position to mend fences and heal the conflicts that surround you.
PISCES (2/21-3/20) - Weather by necessity or choice, the Pisces dreamer is focused on some hard core business dealings and driving that hard bargain right across the signature line. There’s not a lot that can stop you when you set your mind on something, but your so charming and indirect about it that others rarely even notice that you seduced them right into your plan of action. Remember, that for the decade + that Uranus is in your sign, divine law states that all plans to sway and influence others must be focused on the greater good – not merely your own
CANCER (6/23-7/22) - The Cancer Full Moon on Jan 3/4 brings a deeply personal cycle to an end once and for all. Use this time to release negative emotional attachments and free yourself from old baggage and programming that is now useless – go see Rocky! The New Moon on the 19th in Capricorn brings a new structure to your life, and provides security if you choose to use it.
LIBRA (9/23-10/22) - There is just so very much on your table right now that it’s hard to know where to put your attention first. Chaos could reign supreme – and it would be a shame because it can distract you from the stunning gems right in front of you. I might suggest that getting organized after the 19th will be the key to unlocking the magic that lies in front of you this month. It might not sound glamorous or exciting, but it will unlock the gates to your own personal magic kingdom.
TAURUS (4/21-5/21) - A very busy month for you, the first few days are great for setting up your plans and contacts for the year, plant seeds and they’ll bear fruit later. Mid month the focus is on romance and long-term investments. After the 15th don’t let philosophical conflicts cast a shadow over the good fortune that smiles on you now. Sometimes being hardheaded just gets you bruises.
VIRGO (8/23-9/22) - Practical applications of your carefully thought out plans can be accomplished early this month. You have the ear of the person in charge as the new year gets rolling and after the 14th when Mercury slides into Aquarius your ideas take on a more far reaching, social and humanitarian bent. Use the power of words and your ability to command attention to inspire others to their highest goals and ideals.
GEMINI (5/22-6/22) - The first week of the year is prime time for you to launch a sales business, writing career, music, dance or communications venture. You’re driven to succeed and virtually untouchable right now. Late in the month you play go-between with business contacts and family matters.
LEO (7/23-8/22) - The pure intensity of fresh ideas and plans coming your way for the first two weeks of the year is nothing short of dizzying. Exciting Yes, easy to navigate, No. Once you do the tough job of sifting though it all mid-month you will be able to implement some new strokes of genius by the end of January.
ARIES (3/21-4/20) After the 10th my intrepid Aries friends break through barriers of fantasy and illusion that have been holding you back. Then there’s barely anything that can stop you when Mars joins Pluto to blast dynamite through anything that even looks like an obstacle. Keep a cool head and you will win any prize in sight. Don’t be unpredictable or impulsive with love or finance later in the month.
SCORPIO (10/23-11/22) - This month the focus on partnership and joining forces with others is on the minds of those you want to work with – so for once, you might not even have to be the one who brings it up. But you will be the one who hashes through all contracts, agreements and percentage points in order to come out with an all around good arrangement. After the 17th your focus shifts from adventure to just plain hard work and achieving your goals when Mars leaves Sagittarius for sunnier Capricorn skies.
AQUARIUS (1/22-2/20) - The ‘Rebel Yell’ is your mantra but lately it seems to have been captured by a significant other. Rewinding old movies and photo albums won’t bring back the past, but it will show you what karmic lessons past relationships and romantic patterns can teach you about the rules of life. I know you don’t like to be bound by rules and regulations – but some rules are necessary for happiness, such as, well gravity, give and take, relativity – you get the idea.
CAPRICORN (12/23-1/21) - The Retrograde of Saturn in Leo makes you nostalgic for children, and days past – particularly if you are of the Baby Boom generation. The new Rocky movie captures this spirit. This is the time to mend fences and face unfinished karma with past loves, children or unfinished creative projects. Wrap up the loose ends before the 19th and you will be free from the past – much like our Hero Rock becomes.
