I’ve decided to do a Q&A Here on my site.
If you have a question about Astrology, or an aspect between two charts, or some transit that you are currently experiencing? Then please post it as a comment below this blog entry. I will answer at least one question this week, and depending on how many questions I get I will try to get to them all.
This is not an Astrology Reading, but rather a chance to get your questions about Astrology answered and hopefully clear up some misconceptions.
Why am I answering Astrology Questions? Because from my experience of what is available for people to read about Astrology it is either too oversimplified and not really useful, or FAR TOO complicated - and therfore not helpful. My goal is to share information in a way that you can actually use it.
Why Am I qualified to answer these questions? Well, I started using Astrology when I was 9, and my step-mother taught me what she know, at that time I read every book she had on the subject, and by the time I was a teenager I was *hand calculating* all the charts of everyone in my family, and all of my friends.
*Hand Calculating a chart requires doing a lot of math, it is essentially Geometry and Trigonometry. Unfortunately in School they do not explain it that way, so even though I learned to do this in elementary school - once I got to High School I didn’t understand what they were talking about in Trigonometry class! Fortunately today, software does most of this thinking for us now!
Aside from having read all the cookbook Astrology books out there, I have am also familiar with the dozen or so schools of Astrology thinking there are, from Vedic to Uranian etc. I can tell what, in my experience has really worked for people. I am also familiar with tools of Astrology that 99% of the Astrologers in the world don’t even know; and this gives me a far greater accuracy rate.
An example of this is the chart of Tom Cruise. His chart doesn’t look particularly spectacular unless you look at the Heliocentric chart (from the Point of view of the Sun). I call this the Sun Chart and everybody has one. The Sun Chart represents your destiny, the regular chart - the kind you find for free all over the Internet - is your subjective experience of life. Tom Cruise has a perfect Star of David in his Sun Chart. This is THE most powerful planetary pattern that anyone can have. It is two Grand Trines (making 6 Trine Aspects) interlocked to make SIX perfect Sextiles. Trines and Sextiles are the most benevolent aspects anyone can have in a chart, and you are VERY lucky to find 3 or 4 in any chart. They give talents, blessings and easy success in life. Certainly Tom Cruise has had a ton of success. He owes it to his Sun Chart - it tells the story of his special destiny. I will do a full Story on Tom Cruise’s chart soon on this Blog and show you all what I am talking about.

Hi Aura,
You do have the most refreshing, unusual and complete “take” on astrology that I have witnessed. Having said that, here are two questions involving solar eclipses. My birthdate is (OK, I hate saying this!,) 8/9/1942, Columbus, Ohio, 1:37am. On May 30/31/2003 a solar eclipse hit my Gemini ascendant with Saturn & Uranus conjuncting. Difficult, difficult circimstances followed. Still dealing with them, but understanding them somewhat.It was hell & I did not even see what the circumstances or consequences would be, even though I knew that it was happening. I stayed up all night during the eclipse, speaking to my Higher Self & meditating. Too late. The path that I had chosen was wrong & I knew it. Now, I will be having my Neptune (28+ Virgo)in the fifth house opposed by this eclipse. I know that it involves my children who I love so much, but we have taken different paths. I have known for several years that my relationship with my two beloveds must make a major change in some way. I have been consciously on a spiritual path, most likely since birth. They are not. They are fabulous people, very brilliant, very successful & do everything “right” in the outer world. I have been told inwardly that there would be a break with them for many, many years. No special people allowed for me & I must give my life over to the Creator, no matter how much it hurts. I mostly hurt and feel guilty from being distant from three beautiful grandchildren.
Any advice? I could sure use it. This is very painful & I need to know that I am on the correct track.

Hello,
Everything I have read about my son’s chart suggests problems with family/mother. It worries me for our future! He (son) is June 13, 2003, 8:07PM, Cookeville, TN. I (mom) am February 6, 1969, 11:21AM, Laurel, Maryland. Dad is February 6, 1972, 7:30pm, Cookeville, TN. (Yeah, I know! Mom and Dad share a birthday!) My son and I definitely have a telepathic link, he seems to read my mind — but he doesn’t know it yet, he’s only 3.5 years-old. He seems VERY familiar to me, if past lives exist, then we share this. Is there any information/concerns you can share concerning our relationship in reading our charts? Also, any guiding words of wisdom on how to raise this boy? What career path would he be suited for?

Regarding this solar eclipse in Pisces. I have a Chiron at 28 degree in Pisces in my 5th house. I’d like to know what is the significance of this eclipse and the new moon at the same time. How will it effect my life?

Pluto transits often cause blight to the old ways but if one can work with them, they can accelerate one’s evolution, I think. A few months ago Pluto moved into my 2nd house, currently conjuct natal mercury and, while there’s not much good news from other transits, Pluto is trining my 6th house moon and Rx Jupiter will trine my natal Pluto in June. What would be most useful to hear is when these scary Pluto transits occur, do you look to the “easy” aspects to concentrate your attention and come out the other side winning, or perhaps to the ruler of the house being transited? Or am I on the wrong track here?

Hi thank you for making this q&a available! So interesting to read! My DOB= 7/9/1962 6:37 PM. Started having what I thought was a forever relationship with my neighbor (4/7/1962 4:17AM) in oct 1999. In august 2000 he announced he couldn’t talk to me anymore and was moving someone (11/26/72) in.. i met her only once.. she seems evil… i know she’s from honduras and speaks no english.. they had a marriage, she stayed FT till about 2 years ago. He didn’t talk to me for the entire 5 years (i think he was afraid of the wife). We’re talking again, back together sort of, the honduranian is there occasionally.. they seem to have an illegal business together that produces a lot of money and there may be drug usage involved. I didn’t know any of this when I fell in love with him, this is just what i’ve pieced together over the years. He’s got a return pluto on the cusp of his solar return 12th house and also solar return uranus in 2nd house conjucting natal ascendant. When you look at our charts, we seem to have glue but the relationship never seems to go anywhere. What do you see in our charts and does his pluto in the 12th mean jail for him? Will he ever change? I see in his solar return sun in his third house of neighbors but there also may be a possiblity of him seeing someone else in the neighborhood and also the other man that I see (who is also now my boss) has same DOB as the neighbor (4/7/1963 12pm). If you look at my solar return it seems to be more about the boss than the neighbor. Do I sound confused? thanks for helping to sort this out and shedding some light on things.

I did not believe in astrology all my life thou I am an Indian & astrology plays a big part in our lives. Nowadys I only seem to indulge in understanding the medium.
I have been recently divorced & also seperated from my son due to it. It has taken a toll on me. At the same time I joined hands with a friend I suddenly met by chance and started a company which is doing fairly decent. In the past 6 to 8 months I have found that everything has gone bad to worse. My relationship with my buisness partner is strained, I have just come out of the Legal seperation with my ex wife & mental experience led me to becoming a recluse for sometime. Maybe this has created a starin in my buisness & my buisness partner.
Today nothing seems to work, I get buisness but for some reason it gets canned. No new projects are flying. Since I am a media guy I seem to have a mental bloc in anything that I try to do.
My Date of birth is 1st february 1970, time is 06:55am, Born in city - Nagpur, country - India.
Can astrology say or tell me that is the begining of the end for me? I had till 4 years back had a good life & much less to complain about. Thus is that what was my good Karma?
I enjoy doing things for others, helping people in need even if it leaves me pauper, the joy that I get I might not be able to express but its top of the world feeling, besides I never tell it to anybody. Thou it will always help me in the future has & is my philosophy, am I wrong.
Cause today I am broke, mentally not strong as I usually am, feeling like a loser thou I have big aims & dreams which I think is plausible.
Can you help me find some answers about me?

Can you please help me? I was born on Oct 18,1968 in Portmouth,VA at 7:45pm. I am having trouble figuring out which direction to go in. I was considering going into singing and acting, but I have noticed that most people who are well known for being so talented have a water or fire sun, moon, rising, or MC. I don’t have any of those. Is there anything in my chart that shows why I feel so strongly towards acting and singing? Is there any indication of what I might be good at as a vocation? I feel like I am having an identity crisis.

I would like to add to my question…I use the “cookie cutter” astrology to find out about myself. I always read that I would be good at nursing or the service industry. That could not be further from who I feel I am. I also read that I am orderly, a neat freak, and overly critical. My family and husband say I am not that way. I have a messy house as we speak and it is Ok. I am currently taking singing lessons and I would love to sing for an audience one day. I am also going to acting class tomorrow night. Is there something on my chart that you can see since I don’t see it in the “cookie cutter” astrology as to why I am so drawn to the arts? Is there any talent there?

Hi! I have Aquarius in my MC and Leo in my IC. I am reading that as: I am supposed to be innovative and step out of the box, like an Aquarius, in my career, but I will always have a tendency to try and step into the spotlight and let the public adore me like a Leo. (That would explain why I am drawn to acting and singing). If I try to take those avenues - they will not work for me because I am supposed to be going in the opposite direction. Is that how it works…or not?

Hi There
I was drawing up synastry charts over the weekend for myself and people I know. I found that I have effectively a Star of David (one point was 9′ from perfect) between my chart and my friends chart. (not to mention 6 other oppositions!)I know the Star of David is rare - what is its general meaning in synastry? Thanks
