auracleVenus changed directions yesterday (Sunday), so we should begin to feel movement and resolution around the financial matters that she hung up for the past month.
Among other things the Venus Retrograde effected:
- Property Matters (remember the Sub-prime mortgage fiasco a few weeks ago).
- Artwork
- luxury items & jewelry
- beauty products
- finances/financial transactions
- your sense of security!
- personal values
- love & partnerships
- creativity
- matters of ‘ownership’
- sensuality/massages
Now that she has changed directions the ‘re-do’ period is over. But we’re not finished yet. Venus doesn’t leave her shadow until October 12th. This is an EXTREMELY COMPLEX Astrological picture, and is related to the August Eclipse, Saturn, and the upcoming Retrograde of Mercury.
This final leg of Venus’s 3 pronged journey represents the final clean-up period for the previous two segments of the journey - a journey which began back on June 23rd. The short story is that issues in the Mortgage Industry are not over yet. Expect to hear more bad news in Mid October. You can read my previous post about this here.
On a personal level: Venus changing directions means that relationship issues will be up in the air as one or both parties undergoes an evaluation of their partnership(s) in order to decide if it really fulfills on enough levels. Also, money is likely to be a big issue in most relationships now - as well as personal security. Many of us will be asking ourselves: “Am I only staying because it is comfortable and makes me feel safe? And is this a good enough reason?” Matters of property and finance will need to also be addressed as they relate to personal and business partnerships.
Venus Retrograde, and now direct and working through her shadow asks us all to review our bank accounts, personal posessions, relationships and personal values and see if they are still appropriate. If not, Venus asks us to make the necessary changes.

Hi Aura,
This may not be important to others, perhaps others have access to your “links”, but I have been unable to access them. I would enjoy reading them and am sure that I would learn some new “takes” in terms of astrology. Just want to let you know.
In terms of Venus going direct (finally,) I fixed my hair and put on make-up (ha!) today. Long time coming! I have a Leo sun sign and believe me, I have been pretty drab for quite awhile! I am also getting rid of a lot of “junk” that I really do not need or want…of, course, this could also be Saturn moving into Virgo, which is most likely happening. I have Mars conjunct North Node in Virgo in my 4th house. Venus, wanting beauty and favorable relationships, and Mars & my North Node wanting to be active in my home and being well grounded are inspiring me to “get beautiful”, to inspire my relationships and to make my home more orderly and lovely. Plus, there is a whole lot of “shakin’” going’ on with this solar eclipse tomorrow. I would ask you now, to rather quickly, since it is tomorrow, to address the energies of this eclipse and also how it works with the lunar eclipse of August.

And for anyone else having trouble with the links, I recommend you use a different web browser. Many of them have trouble with certain sites and other online functions. The best one to use is Firefox - just google it and you will find the download link.
Good point about tomorrow’s Eclipse. I will try to get to it today.
Kundalini is our god-given power center. But you are right that it isn’t an easy energy to handle. It requires proper training and carful awakeniing, as well as lots of grounding.
