When does the Age of Aquarius Begin?

December 23rd, 2007 · 3 Comments

I found this blog post about the Age of Aquarius and it has a lot of good points in it.

For my own 2 cents on this: The Age of Aquarius itself doesn’t just start on one given day. It takes years to cross over the cusp from Pisces to Aquarius. RIGHT NOW we are on that cusp. We have been since the 60’s. It’s a pretty safe bet that right around the time that the Mayan Calendar Ends (2012) is when we leave the cusp and fully enter the NEW AGE.

But the real test lies in the coming 4-5 years: Pluto moves into Capricorn (for a 15 year stay) where he will break down old systems and governments. Saturn Squares Pluto in about 2 years: creating upheaval and radical change in all of our service industries (goodbye social services, goodbye health care). Not to mention even more philosophical conflict among people and governments.

New things never come easily. It takes resistance to work out the kinks, this is what history teaches us. But the real hope lies with those who are already building a better tomorrow. The economists are predicting that we are at the very beginning of a huge economic growth cycle being called the ECO-BOOM (destined to make the .com boom look tiny).

Thanks to Saturn in Virgo, we will have the fortitude and hard work necessary to really make it stick. Saturn in Virgo will also mean that Generation X will be working hard to put all of this Eco-Boom stuff into real action. This is because the entire X gen has Pluto and Uranus in Virgo - soon to be crossed by Saturn. If you are a Gen X-er, get ready to be pulled off the bench and into the ‘game’ big time.

I like your site. I bet you’re an Aquarius (I mean sun sign, as opposed to member of the Aquarian Age/indigo although you may be that as well).

I personally think that the age will shift from Pisces to Aquarius in late December 2012 (only five years from now!). Part of the reasoning is from a scientist named Maurice Cotterell, he studied the Mayan calendar and the Mayans predicted something happening in December of 2012, so far as I remember the great year ending and possibly some kind of cataclysmic event.

I personally also think that we are still in the age of Pisces - and that we are in either Pisces or Aquarius, and we will not be in Aquarius until 2012. I see Piscean systems, structures, and frankly, people, all around me, so how can we be in the Aquarian age? We are on the cusp but still in Pisces.

Having researched the ages for 18 years I can vouch that the answer to your question about the start of the Aquarian age cannot be answered in a sentence, paragraph or even one chapter.

The Aquarian age actually arrived either in 1432 or 1433. The Aquarian age arrived coinciding with the invention of the printing press, just before the discovery of the New World (the Americas)and the collapse of the last vestige of the previous age empire, the Roman Empire, with the fall of Constantinople to the Muslims.

Very significant developments occur at the cusp of ages and the 15th century is the most influential turning point in history over the last 2,500 years - this can be confirmed by historians. For example Richard Tarnas commences his book “Cosmos and Psyche” with the following sentence: “The modern self began to emerge, with astonishing force and speed, just over five hundred years ago.”

Anyway, I cannot give justice to my claim here but it is all spelled out on my website at http://www.macro-astrology.com - my recent articles on the subject that have been published over the last 7 years can be freely downloaded.

PS the strongest sign in the Aquarian age is actually Pisces so this does not counter your claim that “I see Piscean systems, structures, and frankly, people, all around me”. The effects of each age are expereinced mainly in the following age. [see the Overflow Effect in my website]. Aquarius archetypes will be strongest in the Capricorn age which is not due until c.3574

    Hi Econdude-
I’ve got an Aquarius Nadir - which is kind of the roots of the personality, so you’re part right. People usually think I am an Aquarius or a Leo - but NO! I’m a Taurus (w/Merc conj Sun) with Scorp rising, which explains the fixed thing.

They called us the Rainbow children. I was one of the Timothy Leary ‘concieved on LSD’ at the ranch kids. But yeah, Indigo describes it well too. I dunno, but the whole 60’s thing really strikes me as an ‘age of Aquarius’ scenario. All those wacky clothes, the hair, the politics, experimentation. I grew up in it and I’m still dizzy. Thank God for that Taurus Sun keeping my feet glued to the ground!

You have the same take I do on the shift from the Age of Pisces to Aquarius. Another layer of it is to look at the concept of the Photon belt as described in the Kryon channeled books. I see it as the Universe doing one very long (2000 years long) exhale and then beginning the inhale as the age shifts - and we go into the Photon belt. The new breath began in the 60’s and is fully underway by the time we get to 2012. But by now those photons are flying around and stirring things up here on planet Earth.
