Horoscope for February

January 30th, 2008 by auracle · No Comments

February Horoscope

The moves of the stars for the next few months resembles a complicated dance routine so busy that it is simply dizzying. As Feb begins Mars picks up speed and goes direct while Mercury has just turned backwards. Together the confusion should create enough frustration to make anyone feel slightly nuts. At least we’ll all have enough energy to put some oomph into it again after the past two months of energy zap. We might feel motivated, but we’re all plenty confused and can’t expect ourselves to come up with final or complete answers - so don’t even try! Even after Mercury goes direct again on the 19th we still find ourselves sorting out all the contacts and meetings he’s had this month - and there are LOTS of them. Generally speaking this means that the month will be filled with re connections to friends, family, old loves and heart breakers, and long-standing arrangements, grudges, emotional ‘deals’ and even financial matters. This is such a great blessing though, because it allows any and all of these things from the past that have been holding us back to be released, cleansed and re patterned once and for all. Think of it like this; it’s not every day that you get to read the twisted winding history of your family tree, so when you do get this opportunity it can lead to a brand new lease on life. Get ready, we’re in for a bumpy ride.

One of the things that all these changes of directions WILL do for us is bring back things from the past that we thought had left - especially from the recent past. So get ready. But then, on the other hand, when they come back they may not stick around the second time either - it all depends on what else is going  on in your own chart transits to determine if you’ve actually found your soulmate.

And I haven’t even mentioned the Eclipse’s yet, there are two of them in February, the first, the Solar Eclipse takes place right on the Chinese New Year; 7 Feb (17Aqu44). It is also conjunct Chiron, Neptune and Rx Mercury this releases us from attachments to our sense of accomplishment and achievement or the expectations of fathers and father figures. Long standing figure heads are likely to move over at this time when we see our own outward values making way for a greater need for inner satisfaction, community and family connection. Next the Lunar Eclipse on Feb 21 (01Vir52) Connect with Saturn. This is a more difficult eclipse that put’s pressure on our community, causes emotion to burst forth and generally behaves in critical and frustrated ways. Burdens are place on women at this time (and they aren’t being welcomed!) and we all feel frustrated by wanting things that we feel we cannot have. Dissatisfaction runs high, the public is mobilized and active, hidden information begins to be revealed with unsettling results and rational thinking is pretty hard to find. In the middle of this apparent chaos, I say that there are huge (unseen) blessings afoot, mostly in the form of rebuilding broken systems. Whew, what a month!

aries - A social figure, friend or person of influence suddenly leaves your network, which leaves you feeling the gap. What do you want to do? Perhaps it’s time for you to step in and fill those big shoes yourself, after all, when you see an opportunity, you’re not usually one to let it slip past you. Later in the month the revelation of new information around health matters gives you concern and makes you re-think your habits and routines.

taurus - A sudden change in your career makes you rethink and rework all of your plans. Maybe you suddenly see an opportunity, or maybe you’ve just been shown the way to change professional hats. Either way, it will take some work to accomplish your goal, so make a plan now, and then stick to it. Later in the month the Lunar Eclipse triggers your creativity - not to mention fertility, so get ready to be a creative force to be reconed with - it is undeniable now and you need to let it happen!

gemini - The Solar Eclipse works in your favor and removes an opponent or obstacle to your goal. Strike while the iron is hot and you can strengthen your power. An exotic stranger threatens to rock your world, just don’t cheat on anyone. Around the 21st, an upheavel at home causes dishes to fly - I told you not to cheat on anyone!

cancer - A total reversal of your everyday assumptions and expectations is on the Universal agenda, so keep your plans loose and don’t get too attached to things going a certain way. Within the next 3 months you are likely to look back and wonder how things could have changed so much so fast. Sudden news later in the month makes huge waves, upsets the apple cart and causes you to completely change your whole strategy.

leo - You are ready to throw in the towel with your whole social network. Your frustration has reached some kind of boiling point, and partnerships have a huge impact on all of it. Just be prepared for some kind of capricious and unpredictable actions from your partners and you will be ok. A sudden financial revelation leaves you stunned later in the month, so hedge your bets.

virgo - Someone who has been stopping you or blocking you from moving forward with your plans suddenly just leaves the picture. It is almost like the problem has been pulled up by the roots - good riddance! The Virgo Lunar Eclipse causes you to gain deep clarity and understanding about what has really been motivating you, I mean the things you didn’t know about before. This gives you the chance to start over with a clean chalkboard.

libra - A lover could leave your life for good. Don’t cry over losers dear, they’re not worth it! But you are creatively inspired as well, so a good time in the bedroom is high on your priority list and could land you a new amore before you’ve had time to dry your tears. I really, really, really suggest you take a long tour through your subconscious and find out where your self-sabotage is coming from - this could save you a lot of pain this month.

scorpio - Challenging and sudden changes in your home life create stress. You can handle it though, I know you. Just realize that things are not going to go as you plan them to, and get flexible. I know it’s not comfortable for you, but it will save your sanity. The birth of a social community is the answer to your frustrations and provides you with what you really need - a sense of place within a larger community.

sagittarius - Your mail could get lost, or even your identity stolen. The news you get this month is beyond crazy and makes you wonder which end is up, so stay grounded and remember to breathe. A sudden and overwhelming need to prove yourself or make waves in your career grips you toward month’s end. You are not used to this kind of frenzy and are almost afraid of it. We have a word for it; ambition.

capricorn - Changes on the financial front create an unsettling sense of ‘what’s next’ for you. This doesn’t have to be a bad thing, but you’ll have to get really creative to transform it for the good, try studying Donald Trump. On the other hand, new and exotic connections from far and abroad will open up fantastic opportunities that are also incredibly rewarding - IF - and only IF you are paying attention for them.

aquarius - The Solar Eclipse in your sign creates some kind of disruption for you in the area of your career or public identity. You may suddenly find yourself taking on a new role or behaving in a totally uncharacteristic way. This is all part of the picture. Then, by month’s end you find yourself in the position of taking on a team, joining with others and working towards a mutually desired - and much needed - goal.

pisces - Just be prepared for things you aren’t expecting, I’m not saying that you’ll experience a betrayal this month, just that you need to guard against it. Don’t just trust that things are running smoothly and that business will continue as usual. Someone is likely to rock the boat now. Also, by month’s end your partnerships reveal things that have been buried or unspoken for a long time. It’s time to listen, this needs to be heard.

Pollsters so unreliable Newspapers look to Astrology

January 25th, 2008 by auracle · 1 Comment

With the pollsters all over the place - and very unreliable these days, the Huffington Post launched a new segment called HuffPollstrology which is certainly entertaining. But it’s not enough to predict the winners, for that you need a real Astrological look, like the one I give in my 2008 Presidential Prediction post. Check it out, and then remember that there’s a looooong way between here and November.

I fully expect both sets of Eclipses to create drama and upset in the pollsters predictions.  Those Eclipses take place in February (7th & 21st) just in time to have an impact on the Feb 5th Super Tuesday (some news outlets are calling it SuperDuper Tuesday) - where 24 states hold elections. And then in August (1st & 16th) - just in time for the political Conventions to be really Unconventional.

The February 7 Solar Eclipse takes place conjunct Neptune and Retrograde Mercury (Mercury Retrograde) - virtually guaranteeing some upsets and confusion.  The Feb 21 Lunar Eclipse gives us the Moon conjunct Saturn both opposed to the Sun - all of which paints the picture of gender opposition.  The August 1 Solar Eclipse once again conjuncts Mercury which literally has the impact of throwing someone’s plans out the window. The August 16 Lunar Eclipse gives us the Moon conjunct Neptune and Chiron opposing the Sun, suggesting a deep chasm among what American’s feel are their real ‘family values’ and how they are expressed in the political landscape.  Fasten your seatbelts, we’re about to go where no man has gone before.

Venus: Planet of Love and Money

January 22nd, 2008 by auracle · No Comments

Venus: Planet of Love and Money

VENUS was the goddess of love and beauty in Greek myths. Her realm of rulership was the art of courtship and seduction, as well as objects of luxury, sensuality and indulgence. VENUS was the quintessential goddess of desire, and her influence always imparts an inclination towards the better things in life. Her taste is impeccable, manners and presentation are of supreme importance to her. The role VENUS plays in the world is to bring grace, beauty and charm to the area of life that she touches. However, she is also capable of being spoiled, self-indulgent, and lazy and at times even morally challenged. Sometimes too much of the good things in life can get the better of even a goddess. She does have a good sense of humor though, and can enjoy a good joke, even at her own expense. Without her influence none of us would know how to flirt and seduce one another. She brings playfulness and joy to the process of courtship.

But VENUS is not all feather boa’s and bubble baths. VENUS is also considered the goddess of war, while MARS (her secret lover) is considered the god of war and love. Hmm, it’s interesting that love and war should be so closely connected don’t you think? You see VENUS can be pretty tough on the battlefield of love, and she knows how to win without it seeming like a battle. And besides if she has her way it’s always a two-sided win. But if things get ugly, watch out. VENUS knows how to get her fair share, she could just take you for all your money! But basically she really just wants everything to be beautiful and erotic all the time.

VENUS is the traditional ruler of both Taurus and Libra. The side of Venus that represents love rules Taurus. This is why Taurus’ can be so earthy and materialistic. If you really love that blouse and that pair of earrings, well you just have to have them don’t you? And how about that cute thing at the checkout line in the grocery? Taurus’ can be indulgent, and once they find what they like, they don’t like to change it. That would upset the order of their creature comforts, and that would be, well um, uncomfortable. So, Taurus has gained a reputation for being quite stubborn. But it is due to Taurus’ influence that we have much that is truly beautiful in the way of art and objects that enrich the quality of our aesthetic experience of life.

Libra on the other hand, could argue you into a coma, changing their point of view as often as their clothes (and that’s often). Since the warlike side of VENUS rules Libra, Libra’s often consider a good stimulating debate to be foreplay! Under a Libra’s cool eye, the trappings of love are really well planned out strategies. Don’t be fooled by that charming lighthearted attitude, or innocent air head act. The Libra usually knows exactly how to get what they want, and they use lots of charm to do it. Don’t ever underestimate the power of beauty, charm and social graces to influence the public, politics and even overthrow the bastions of world power. Most Libra’s can strategize as well as Napoleon! I also use the ASTEROIDS as rulership of Libra, since they lend depth the issue of human relationships, which is Libra’s domain. If you are a Libra, or want to read more about how the ASTEROIDS influence relationship dynamics read that page too.

No matter where VENUS is placed in the Natal Chart, her influence is always felt in terms of our individual values, and what we consider important. Although Taurus and Libra are the only signs ruled by VENUS, everyone has VENUS’ influence on some part of their life. For more information about how VENUS influences you, you might want to have a Natal Chart Interpretation.

Uranus: Planet of Rebellion

January 22nd, 2008 by auracle · No Comments

Uranus: Planet of Rebellion

URANUS was the grandfather of all the gods of Greek/Roman mythology. He was the sky god, who took power by castrating his father Kronos. As legend has it, when he did so the galaxies, stars and planets were created from the castrated organ. This story could be looked at as the Greek personification of a ‘big bang’ theory. When URANUS become the supreme god, he created the atmosphere and life on earth by mating with the Earth herself, the goddess GAIA. The two however did not get along and rivaled with each other for power, causing floods, volcanic eruptions and earthquakes. This was a turbulent time and could be paralleled with the age of creation that was before and at the beginnings of life on Earth. Human existence on Earth could be paralleled with the age when JUPITER took power from his father URANUS. He did so by castrating him as URANUS had done to his father Kronos. This is sort of the epic Greek version of ‘Those who live by the sword die by the sword’.

In Astrology, the planet URANUS represents unusual and unpredictable events and people. There is something quirky and often genius-like when his energy is present. But often that unusual sparkle is misunderstood and even disliked by the purveyors of the status quo. The status quo usually doesn’t like to be disturbed, and URANUS likes nothing better than to overthrow the existing order of things and bring in radically new and improved ideas. For this reason URANUS lives in a state of constant revolution, upsetting the old order on one hand and guarding his back from the same sort of attack on the other hand. So he can be a bit paranoid, and this is why he is capable of intellectual tyranny. He rules the sky, and the sky represents thoughts and ideas. Therefore he is thought to be brilliant, easily grasping complex ideas, and using them in innovative ways. He also governs the realm of seemingly random geological phenomenon, like earthquakes, floods, meteor showers and volcanic activity.

*According to modern rulerships in Astrology* URANUS rules Aquarius, and Aquarians are really the most unusual people you’re likely to meet. Even if they seem perfectly ordinary on the surface, their minds are usually teeming with all sorts of shocking ideas, often with a hint of disdain for the ‘old’ and the ‘tried and true’ methods of doing things. Sometimes Aquarius’ can be guilty of doing and saying shocking things just for the sake of getting a reaction. They often don’t even mean it, they just like to see people’s jaws drop in astonishment. For this reason they often form alliances and groups that are somewhat outside of the mainstream of society, even on the ‘fringe’. It’s glamorous being an ‘outsider’ after all. But underneath all that rule-breaking behavior sits an almost angelic smiling face who really just wants big brother/daddy to acknowledge their brilliance. This is the archetypal rebellious child who, in their heart of hearts just wants daddy’s approval. But if daddy won’t approve, then they’ll never let him live it down, and may go to any lengths to embarrass or humiliate his stodgy old country club values.

***Please Note*** I use ancient Rulerships for the signs in my Chakra Astrology. I view Uranus as an influence that governs human GROUP ACTIVITIES more than personal archetypes. The original 7 planets govern the personal archetypes, but the outer planets are connected to group activities and human infrastructures. I would describe Uranus as being the Nerous system of society. For this reason Uranus really rules the following areas of life:
Shipping Lines
Electrical Delivery Systems
Trucking Routes
Politics/Rallies/Community Organizations
Housing Developments/Community Planning
Musical Composition
Higher Mathematics
Number Crunching
Stock Markets/Economic Systems

The placement of URANUS in your Natal Chart indicates the ways in which you are likely to think for yourself, or rebel against the values that were handed to you by your father. It also represents you way of relating and connecting to social infrastructures and the systems listed above. This planetary energy indicates the often-complex process of finding one’s own sense of individuality, usually by breaking free from the demands/expectations of the father. It also indicates the gifts that the father gave to you by sending you on this journey in the first place. For more information about URANUS in your chart you may want to have a Natal Chart Interpretation.

The Sun: Planet of Identity

January 22nd, 2008 by auracle · No Comments

The Sun: Planet of Identity and selfThe SUN was worshipped by most ancient cultures as the giver of life. Solar energy is radiant and glowing, it is the archetypal masculine expression. The SUN feeds and nurtures our planet on every level, without it there would be no life at all. The SUN is the center of our solar system and the astrological placement of the SUN is the framework of the personality. When someone says, “I am an Aries,” they are really saying that the SUN was in Aries when they were born. The SUN defers its energy to the ruler of whatever sign a person is born under. In the case of the Aries individual that would be Mars. Because of this the placement of Mars in the Aries Natal Chart, will give greater insight to the expression of the energy of the SUN, which is the ego of the personality. Only one sign is naturally ruled by the SUN, that is Leo. What this means is that Leos radiate strong personalities. They are naturally able to express themselves, and gain followers. The SUN is necessary for survival, similarly Leos must share their abundant energy with others in order to keep social interaction moving. All Leos must deal with the gifts and responsibilities inherent in being the one in the limelight, getting attention. They are easily compared to the ‘king of beasts-the Lion’ which is the Leo symbol. The Leo has charisma, swagger and can easily take center stage. They are often to be found at the center of the party. Usually Leos are affectionate and generous. The down side of Leo is that they can be egotistical, and truly believe that others should pay homage to their ‘Kingliness.’ Depending on the relationship between the SUN and other parts of the Natal Chart the expression of the Leo ego will either be smooth and fun, or over-developed and arrogant. Leos do have a tendency to be opinionated and controlling, at times they can’t help but feel that they know everything, and they rarely resist telling you all about it. In some cases however, the Leo ego is almost completely invisible, and you find a very shy Leo. This would be indicated by more complex elements of the Natal Chart.

SUN sign Astrology is the most common and general form of Astrology. It can give a broad overview of personality types and general characteristics, but it is only one aspect of a person’s character. Astrology uses all of the planets in the solar system and several mathematical points in order to give very detailed information about personality, events and influences. This is called a Natal Chart. If you would like more information about the karmic imprint you came into this life with you should have a Natal Chart Interpretation.

Saturn: Planet of Karma

January 22nd, 2008 by auracle · No Comments

Saturn: Planet of KarmaSATURN in mythology is the old man, paternal figure. He’s the guy that tells you to get serious, buckle down and do some real work. He is stooped and bent over, cranky and severe. He has high standards and he holds himself and other people to them. SATURN could be considered the king of the old adage ‘all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.’ Saturn is the lord of discipline, time and limitations. On the good side he represents the limitations and discipline we impose upon ourselves in order to achieve goals and earn the freedom this can give us. Limitations are a part of life. SATURN represents the rules we either willingly live by and make a part of out lives or he represents the rules that others will impose upon us in order to meet societal expectations. He rules the reputation we garner for ourselves, our relationship to his demands either gives us a ‘good name’ or a ‘bad reputation’. He rarely thinks for himself, and so he is the great keeper of the world order as it stands. He is the rules of mans game, and he punishes those who make up new ones. He also rewards those who work hard, giving them positions of authority and responsibility-two of his favorite things. But he is a drone, disliking change, independent thought or anything that breaks the routine.

SATURN rules Capricorn and Aquarius by my standard. But don’t get depressed by this, if you are a Capricorn you already have too much of that tendency to begin with. Yes Capricorn is serious and hard working. They get very upset if their image is slurred and they want to be seen as doing ‘good.’ You see the truth underneath all that orderliness and perfect behavior is that the Capricorn is desperately afraid of failure, and they are way too hard on themselves. They just don’t feel right about letting loose and having fun if everything and I mean everything isn’t taken care of. Unless of course the prevailing value of the environment they are in is too have fun, in that case they’ll make sure that they have fun absolutely perfectly, gosh darn it. But only if you can convince them that there’s a good reason for all that fun. Perhaps this is because they are afraid that they will sink back to the Baccanalian excesses from which they emerged.

In ancient Greece the Baccian festivals were attributed to SATURN. Perhaps as a way to offset his severity and the struggle he represents, these festivals were all about revelry, drunken excess and just plain cutting loose. In these festivities a young man was chosen to run around, have a great time, sleep with all the babes for a year and then he was sacrificed to the Gods at the end of that year. Perhaps this is where we get the idea to ,”live fast, die young and leave a beautiful corpse.” Regardless, there is always a price to pay, and the ancient Greeks reminded themselves of this through these Festivals.

Aquarius is also ruled by SATURN, and here the influence is the opposite. Aquarius throws off the burdens imposed by SATURN and seeks to break free and overthrow his constraints. This often leads to innovation, genius and sudden breakthroughs. On the other hand it can lead to pain and broken bones - after all Gravity is a rule and breaking it hurts!

We are each influenced by SATURN energy in a unique way. SATURN can bring pain, loss, grief, lawsuits, hard work and struggle. The placement of SATURN in the Natal Chart indicates how we would respond to the rules imposed on us by parental figures and society as a whole. It also indicates the rules by which we live our own life, and may wish to impose on other people. SATURN in the individual Natal Chart would represent the ways in which we may secretly wish to go to excesses or rebel against someone’s rules but are afraid to, because of what other people would think.

Aries The Ram (March 21 - April 20)

January 22nd, 2008 by auracle · No Comments

I am ARIES: Follow Me - Ruled by Mars

aries.gifAries is the intrepid leader, the explorer and the ground breaker. Whatever it is, wherever you go, it is always the Ram who wants to climb it, conquer it, or get to it first. Being first is preferable to this person, in fact, if they discover that they aren’t in fact the first, best, fastest, etc, they may just lose all interest. ‘If I can’t be the best, well, then I don’t want to be at all,’ is how the logic goes.

The Arian spirit was alive and well in the pioneers who trekked across America and got to the other side, crossing canyons, rivers and mountain ranges. ‘I will get there, by God, or die trying,’ is the Aries battle cry. But don’t expect to hear them state that mission out loud. They don’t have time for that, they’re too busy taking action and heading out on that new exploration, mission or idea. Often, even before the Ram has articulated the thought the action is taken. Sometimes, even before the danger is assessed, they’re already in too deep to get out.

Everything is to be explored and understood through action to the Aries native. Straightforward and without guile, the Ram is sometimes called naïve. Because he has no time to think up labyrinthine schemes and manipulations he cannot even conceive of the idea that others would. He has no time for such complications, and is shocked – shocked I tell you! And horribly disappointed – when others do.

Aries can, at times, unintentionally run roughshod over others in her haste. Because they are not complicated, and because they know what they want, our Mars friend has no trouble going right out and getting it. This is all well and good when operating within the rules of social grace and diplomacy, but well, those aren’t qualities that land naturally in the Ram’s consciousness. And sometimes he or she can forget to pay attention to the needs of those around them. Perhaps this is why he has earned a reputation for selfishness. While it is true that some can be self-involved, when an Aries has a cause in mind he will work tirelessly for himself and those he cherishes in order to accomplish it. When you find a diplomatic Arian you can be sure this is one Ram who has consciously made an effort to develop these traits – just ask him, he will be more than happy to tell you all about it. Sharing their exploits with others is one of their favorite things – even the exploits of self-development.

All the signs learn through their opposite polarity, and the opposite of Aries is Libra. Therefore the Arian native learns most about him or herself through partnership and partners (ruled by Libra). This is that delicate balance of I-You-We that ultimately slows down the impulsiveness of this conqueror, knocks the rough edges off the diamond and lends enjoyment to the process of accomplishment that is relentlessly active within the Ram’s consciousness.

If you love an Aries don’t be afraid to cheer for them, the more the better, they’d like and entire squad in the front yard, if they could have it. And don’t be afraid to toot your own horn either, they want you to be as cool, flashy, dramatic and enthusiastic as they feel about you. All this need for conquest can lead to promiscuity, but not very often I find. Most Ram’s are surprisingly committed, unless they get bored.

Subtlety can be lost on them, so if you want him to know you are attracted to him – show some cleavage. If you want to turn her head, promise her the Moon and Stars, make a fuss. All Ram’s like to turn heads and get gasps – so don’t be shy. But if you are shy, that’s ok, she’ll like you anyway, as long as she can coo over you until you turn beet red. The Aries loves romance and knows how to do it right. So wrap yourself in a romantic adventure and remain a mystery constantly requiring a new adventure and he or she will want to conquer you over and over again.

Taurus The Bull (April 21st to May 21st)

January 22nd, 2008 by auracle · No Comments

I am TAURUS: Pamper me - Ruled by Venus

I am TAURUS: Pamper me - Ruled by VenusTaurus is acquisitive and sensual in the extreme and can judge their experience of life by the things they feel touch taste and own. They have good taste, and want the best in life.

The Bull has been accused of being materialistic, and while this can be true, the sensate being that is Taurus appreciates and cherishes the finery and luxury in life, and often acquires it for this reason. But they have no problem working hard for those things. The trouble is how hard on themselves they can become in this quest for comfort and luxury. They are rarely frivolous, they simply recognize and appreciate quality and value, and make sure that they get the most that is possible.

The saying, ‘If you would just give me the luxuries in life, I would gladly do without the necessities,’ can apply to certain natives of this sign. This internal yardstick measuring ‘the best’ and constantly finding the world lacking can lead to disappointment and frustration for our Bullish friends. Is it any wonder that the Stock Market uses the Taurus symbol to indicate positive economic growth?

Yes, things of value and resources are usually what the Taurus is most interested in. This includes a fine palette for discerning the best in art, fabric, quality craftsmanship, and music. Never forget that music has a visceral effect on your Taurus, and can single-handedly melt and seduce even the most impenetrable Bull’s façade. In fact if you are trying to influence any Taurus in any way, you will be well rewarded to use beauty, pastoral surroundings, sensual luxuries and delicious scents, sounds and tastes. The earthy Bull experiences life through their physical senses, please them and you will be rewarded.

Usually physically beautiful, but sometimes vain, the sensuality of the Taurean is legendary. Slow and thorough, they will bring you an appreciation of the physical that you may not be able to reach on your own. When a Taurus decides to do something, well, they only want to do it if they can do it right, beautifully and with utmost class.

Usually they have strong ideas about things, and once their minds are set on something trying to dissuade him is like trying to move Mount Olympus – a noble but ineffective effort. In fact, once a Taurus decides they have had enough of you and what you have to say, up come the iron walls, and the only way to cope with being shut outside the fortress is to just wait for the BULL to decide to give you a second chance. My only suggestion for someone who has found them selves on the wrong side of this impenetrable citadel is to send gifts. Isn’t that how Troy was conquered?

The Bull learns about themselves through the issues represented by their opposing sign Scorpio. A great deal of the Taurus psychology is devoted towards property and material security, as well as individual autonomy of resources. Scorpio represents shared resources and the sexual merging between two individuals. Therefore, the Taurus will learn a great deal about the self by merging, bonding and sharing with another person. After all, what good are all those physical, sensual resources if they aren’t to be shared? It is also an essential part of the Bull’s process to learn to cope with the inevitable issues of control and balance that merged resources represents within a sexual partnership.

If you love Taurus rub his or her shoulders, kiss and whisper sweet nothings in her ear. She will melt. Share good music, good food and beautiful views of nature with your earthy paramour, and you may be confronted with more sensuality and erotic license than you were ready for!

Above all else though, if you treat your Bullish love like a cherished, adored and beautiful deity they will return the favor with luxury, sensuality, beauty and devotion. When a Taurus gives their heart and decides to love you, they do so with all their heart, soul and body.

Gemini The Twins (May 22 - June 22)

January 22nd, 2008 by auracle · No Comments

I am Gemini: Fascinate me - Ruled by Mercury

I am Gemini: Fascinate me - Ruled by MercuryGemini exists to think and ponder and experience his ideas. Concepts, cleverness, wit, mental challenges, and conundrums of all types are sources of endless fascination for our mercurial friends.

Give your Twins a problem to solve, an idea to explore and watch what happens. Much like the ignition of elements in the beaker of a science lab, various compound reactions are possible – though rarely predictable. Oh, yes, your Twins are proud of their mutability, their unpredictability, the very essence of what makes them, well a them. There’s a very good reason why the symbol for Gemini is the Twins. They are most definitely a they rather than he or she.

There is a decidedly changeably face presented by these folks, which makes them very, very good actors, mimics, and yes, maybe even a few schizophrenics in the bunch. Words are their weapon of choice, and get collared by one and you will soon find yourself swimming in a sea of them. A Gemini could sell snow to an Eskimo.

Slick and smooth in the extreme, the talented Twin is able to present the appropriate face at any moment he needs to summon it, and therefore makes a natural diplomat. When serving the needs of an ideal or cause the Gemini among us knows how to influence the minds of others and maneuver great alliances into being.

Sometimes he has been accused of being dishonest. Well, when this does happen, it is because the Gemini cannot resist the temptation to practice his cleverness and facility at creating illusion. Much like the elusive Mystique character in X-men, the Twins powers can be used for good or evil. Only he or she – or they – can decide which. Ultimately the karma of being born a Gemini is about learning about communication and each of our responsibility regarding it.

Twins learn through their opposite, the sign of Sagittarius and so, ultimately this detail oriented mercury mind learns to see the big picture and develop a philosophy as represented by broad minded Sag. The Gemini with an ideal or cause to pursue is a Gemini with a spring in his or her step, a sense of purpose and above all, something to ground all that excess personal electricity with.

Oh, the acrobatic Twins can be so nimble, so clever and oh so entertaining. But really he is searching for an intellectual challenge, stimulation, fascination that will cause her to become absorbed and require utmost and complete concentration. Oh, how dreary life becomes for these Mercury minded folks when their minds are allowed to wander too far. Give them a challenge! Spark their imagination, shake their concepts!

If you can do so, they will run right out and woo you, wow you, razzle-dazzle you and throw in a few back flips just for good measure. These are the thinkers of the zodiac, and if this fine mind isn’t allowed to waste it’s time on trivial gossip then they are the problem solvers, the flashes of insight and brilliance that hurl us forward with new ideas. Ideas, spark evolution and revolution. But by that time the Twins are long gone, bored and ready to find a new puzzle to bend their minds around.

If you love a Gemini be clever and witty. Tease them, tie their brains into little pretzels and make them laugh. If they decide you are interesting enough for them then they will constantly delight you with their words, charming surprises, thoughtfulness, cheer and sheer zaniness

Cancer The Crab (June 23rd to July 22nd)

January 22nd, 2008 by auracle · No Comments

I am CANCER: Nourish me - Ruled by the Moon

cancer.gifCANCER is famous for moods. Like the MOON that rules them, they have cycles, moods, ebbs and flows. Their watery depths beg for exploration, and fascinating though they are, they are equally inscrutable. Like the secrets locked away in the tides of the ocean’s movements, the CRAB’S temperament is simultaneously mesmerizing and changeable.

Also similar to the waves, CANCER contains within it much of the nurturing, cradling life-force that we associate with the vast expanses of the ocean’s waters. From the ocean is where life began on this planet, and CANCER contains within it the psychological aspects of motherhood.

Contrary to popular belief this does not make the male MOON-CHILD feminine. Quite the contrary, male CRABS are defenders of honor, loyal, duty-bound and deeply present for those they care for. And CANCER’S care, above all else they care for, nurture, soothe and protect those whom they become attached to.

Some say that the CRAB is grabby, or clingy. The truth is that the CANCER feels things so deeply and profoundly, and has such a fear of loss, abandonment and separation that once they have found something or someone that gives them comfort, they hang on for dear life. Like a baby with their favorite blankie, the CANCER may hang onto their possessions, habits, or even you! But it’s not so bad, the MOON-CHILD will be sure to make you feel equally safe and secure - after all that is what they are seeking and creating in life.

The important thing to understand about the CRAB native is that this is a karma associated with abandonment and loss of some sort. And while this is sad on some level, it is also the destiny of CANCER to learn to nourish themselves, and in so doing they nourish others, which in turn nourishes them back. These people are here to learn what really matters in life and what is merely empty calories. Learning to identify and fulfill our true and real needs - on all levels - is the domain of the CANCER. In so doing they shed their shells like the hermit crab and learn to let go of old meaningless associations and approach life with a true understanding of their own strength, a strength that they are glad to lend to you. If you need someone to lean on the CRAB will be there, hanky in hand, offering you their broad shoulders, or ample bosom to lean on.

Warm and comfortable, approachable, welcoming, and safe are all hallmarks of your local CRAB, but don’t forget, they do have a hard shell and claws. Hurt a MOON-BABIES feelings and watch out! You won’t even see that zinger coming. You see CRAB’S lurch sideways and shuffle erratically, reaching out unexpectedly to either grab a hold of something (or someone) they want or to throw a left hook in self-defense. All that zigging and zagging, and seemingly random meandering has a purpose. A CRAB always times his move for maximum effect, and for better or worse, you’ll feel it. Fortunately CANCER’S are rarely vengeful or even interested in a protracted fight — unless of course. their security is threatened. Thank goodness, or else one could wind up with permanent claw marks in their right shoulder!

A CANCER always learns through it’s opposite sign CAPRICORN, who embodies stoicalness, tradition, authority, the measure of time, as well as structure. Ultimately the CRAB native learns to form some sort of structure within which to hold all that watery feeling stuff, so that it doesn’t wind up spilling all over the place and creating an emotional, muddy morass filled with quicksand. Emotion has great power — just like water, especially when contained and focused, this lesson is part of the CRAB’S journey, however crooked that walk winds up being.

If you love a MOON-CHILD, feed him or her, stroke their tummy and give them warm loving hugs. Make them feel safe. They will return to you doting affection, undying support, fierce loyalty, and deep, watery, sensitive lovemaking that touches you to the core, and washes over you like a tidal wave.

Did you need me to tell you that water was passionate?

Leo The Lion (July 23rd to August 22nd)

January 22nd, 2008 by auracle · No Comments

I am LEO: Respect me - Ruled by the Sun

Leo The Lion Ruled by the SunSo regal, so proud, so intimidating is the LION that it’s hard to imagine that they could ever feel disrespected. Oh yes, his swagger is famous, her reputation precedes her. People fear, admire and mostly stand in stunned awe at the sight of a LEO. I’ll let you in on a secret, even the shy ones strike awe in the hearts of their comrades. That regal bearing, that mane of hair! She must be royalty.

But of course, every LEO is royalty, as king of beasts, he rules the forest. And just in case you were tempted to forget, God gave her a roar that won’t be ignored. To be in the audience of a LEO is to walk into the room with a Rock Star - and don’t you forget it!

Some of our LIONINE friends have discovered the burden of being born with such a BIG personality, and these ones shy away from and even hide from the throngs of humanity. You see, once surrounded by people their magnetic solar radiance takes over and literally draws people to them, like moths to the flame. It’s not their fault really. Like the SUN in our own Solar System, the other planets flock around, bathing in the heat source for gravity, direction and warmth. And the LEO is generous, make no mistake, she will give lavishly and slather affection upon those closest to her. How exhausting it can become to be pulled on by so many other people, all requiring a measure of the LEO’S energy.

So naturally the LION takes over. Isn’t that what is expected of them? Oh, this is all so exhausting. First they want the LION’S attention, and then they get upset because he want’s to do things HIS way. Like Rodney Dangerfield the LEO suddenly feels like he, ‘can’t get no respect,’ and then slinks away with the proverbial thorn in her paw only to belt out a mournful version of Aretha’s ‘R-E-S-P-E-C-T.’ Trouble is, everyone else is too terrified to come near the clawful cat.

Oh, if only the LION could find someone who respected them, but didn’t cower in their presence. And the only answer to this conundrum my dear cat is that respect is a self-induced commodity and does not come from outside. Just as the LEO becomes bored and impatient with the needs and demands of others, so too do others become frustrated with the lordly LION’S demands.

It’s not called a pride of LION’S for no reason you see. But to truly understand your territorial cat, you must realize that he is slightly afraid of himself, no make that terribly afraid of himself, because he, more than anyone is aware that he can be deadly. Thus the cowardly Lion of Oz. The true remedy for all that ails any cat among us is a dose of courage, which at it’s essence means to lead with the heart. And when the cat does so, it is warmth, smiles and hugs all around, not to mention a healthy dose of levity and humor. There is little the LEO appreciates more than some good back slapping laughter.

Like all the signs LEO learns through it’s opposing sign of AQUARIUS who represents humanitarianism, the needs of the masses and starry eyed idealism. When the SUN-GOD gains a measure of broad-mindedness, he begins to understand and want to use his radiant magnetism for a greater good. And she becomes the hearth around which all the members of her society gather for regeneration, sustenance and comradeship.

If you love a LEO honor him or her, and be strong and dignified so that your LION can be proud of you. Give them jewels that match their eyes, and never, never be afraid to put on a show. A LEO is always a sucker for a well-dressed paramour, so go ahead and dress to the nines, you can bet your LION will be — even for the beach. Your cat wants to cause a small sensation every time they walk into the room, lucky you, you just found the best arm piece in town.

Sexy and slinky, you can count on some real heat once you are alone with one, and enough wattage to light up your entire neighborhood!
