The Wildfires in LA are raging.
This isn’t such a new site if you’ve lived here for any length of time, but it IS a huge problem on a regular basis. The reason that I am posting this today is because one of these fires is threatening the Angeles National Forest which is the home to Native American (and much subsequent) sacred ground.
It is a very real threat to an irreplaceable strip of land in California, and there IS something you can do about it. No, not money, but prayer and focused intention. Here is my suggested prayer for this piece of land:
“True God of love and truth, both Father and Mother, please protect and save the Angeles National Forest so that this land can be used for your truth. Allow me to receive and be an instrument of your truth and divine protection.” Amen
While you say this please visualize the fire turning back on itself and putting itself out.
Thank you and Blessings-
Aura
UPDATE: Did we Save Suzette Brantley from the Ca Wilfires? (LA Times)
THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS!
This story is all over the LA Times and Chicago Tribune right now.
You may or may not remember my e-mail last week asking for your prayers of protection for my close friend Suzette Brantley who was battling the raging LA forest fire in the Angeles National Forest. This is the HUGEST forest fire season in LA history and has already destroyed over 150 miles of the LA area.
Suzette lives on a Ranch in the middle of the Angeles National forest. When she left last week to pack up her stuff and get out of there, I was concerned. This is why I sent this message out to my network:
It wasn’t just prayer that saved them, it was God – of course – Mother and Father God. But the request we made from God really worked. And for this I thank you.
The fact remains – they were safe and sound when it was all over. And THAT is truly the Law of Attraction – and the REST of the SECRET at work. CLICK BELOW FOR THE REST OF THE SECRET SPECIAL
But that’s not all, this is actually the reason that I decided to offer my Law of Attraction package called “The Rest of the Secret” to you this weekend at such a huge 50% discount. I want it in as many peoples hands as possible. This is also why I added the F*r*e*e* Astrology Report Bonus until Midnight on Labor Day.
There is still time to take advantage of that offer, just go here:
When I didn’t hear from them for days, I was really worried and upset. When I realized that they stayed behind to fight the fire and save the sacred land and the kennels, I didn’t agree with the decision, but wanted them out and safe! She finally got a message back on Tuesday of last week that she and Nick were OK. They had actually saved the Ranch House and a bubble of land surrounding it. Whew! I was relieved to say the least.
Others may debate weather they SHOULD have left or not, but the fact remains – they were safe and sound when it was all over. And THAT is truly the Law of Attraction – and the REST of the SECRET at work.

How to get what you want – and what you paid for – from a Psychic, Intuitive or Astrologer and avoid the common pitfalls.
In recent months Yahoo! has reported all-time highs in psychic, intuitive and Astrology readings according to sites like Keen! and Yahoo! Advice. But the dark side of the story is that the actual satisfaction ratings for these readings has plummeted. The problem seems to come from people not knowing how to get what they really need out of a reading and/or falling into shallow and meaningless sessions that don’t really help them.
After many, many, years of doing psychic, intuitive and Astrology readings myself, I have come to a few conclusions to help you as a client to find what you are looking for and get the most for your money in a Psychic counseling session. Here are the top pitfalls to be aware of:
#1) TALENT IS RARE – the best way to get to know a reader is to read their blog or newsletter for a while, this will allow you to make an informed choice.
First of all, please understand that a really talented psychic, intuitive or Astrological counselor is VERY RARE. These people are difficult to find. I have known and worked with literally 100′s of people who call themselves psychic or intuitive readers and out of all of these there is exactly ONE person who I would trust to give ME insight. ONE. That’s all. And I know a lot of people who are ‘famous’ – but I wouldn’t have a session with most of them.
#2) EGO IS COMMON – seek out those who truly want to be of service.
There are a few main problems with the world of Psychics. Most people who call themselves psychic are on an ego trip – which is the opposite of spiritual, and you should always run away from these people. This is often true for those who have either achieved a big name or have a center named after them. A couple of these people are hard-core materialists and social climbers.
I won’t mention names, but one Guy (with a center named after him) has legendary stories about him and his publishing empire that was financed by his wife, whom he constantly cheats on. He also won’t even give the time of day to anyone who isn’t hugely famous or rich themselves. And yet, his name is almost always on the lips of those who think they are following a spiritual path. Most spiritual seekers have one of his books on their bookshelf. How can I tell them that they are being misled? Well, that’s one of the reasons that I am writing this today.
Most people who call themselves ‘psychic’ or ‘Guru’ do so in order to serve their own ego. The real purpose of a readers’s job is to be of service to the client’s highest purpose and spiritual truth. The job is NOT about the reader!
#3) SHALLOW VS DEEP INFORMATION – empathy and counseling skills are HUGELY important.
Another problem is that there is a HUGE difference between ‘seeing’ into someone’s future vs. being able to actually counsel and assist them to make the most of their personal life path, higher purpose and God-given talents.
The contradiction is this; usually the psychic who can tell you what you just had for lunch will impress you enough to think that they must be really good – but this is NOT true. If someone can tell you what you had for lunch, then they probably can’t tell you anything about the meaning of your life, your relationship, your family, job, career, income etc.
On the other hand, a psychic reading with a truly gifted reader will NOT talk about your lunch, your car, or anything equally meaningless! A gifted psychic will not be bothered wasting time on details that mean nothing and do nothing to help your spiritual path or development. It’s a matter of attention – shallow attention = shallow reading. The reason the psychic talked about your lunch in the first place was to impress you and get your business. This is a person who does not care about (or have access) to information that is truly helpful on the soul level.
WARNING SIGNS TO ALWAYS AVOID
A) Here’s a good rule of thumb that most people don’t know: AVOID readers who have a street sign or storefront. These people are all connected to each other and are basically a mafia family. Many are related and have vendettas against each other. They usually can trace their ancestry back through the Gypsies (which isn’t always bad – but in this organized capacity it is very similar to the Italian Mafia). Also, they will NOT tell you if you ask them about this.
B) COSTUMES!!! This is my #1 pet peeve! People really go for readers and psychic’s who wear costumes, it’s as if donning a turban or forcing a fake indian accent, or wearing lots of giant rings and necklaces makes someone a spiritual master. NOT! This is just Hollywood marketing. It is not real. Someone who has to wear a circus costume to convince you they are for real is only putting on a show. So if it’s a three ring circus you want to pay for, then by all means give them your money – but don’t expect anything beyond cheap theatrics.
C) I may offend you with this one, but PSYCHIC HOTLINES are the WORST! Both the psychics and the clients on these services are truly terrible. Of course, when you search long and hard you may be able to find the diamond in the rough, but the hotlines are bad for several reasons:
Psychic hotlines are bad because they literally force the type of shallow reading that I mentioned in #3 above. They do not provide enough time to get into anything real. It is usually about 3 minutes of mistrust and proving that the psychic undergoes for the client to decide they want to stay on the phone with them. Often the service (like Keen) has given away a lot of free minutes for just this purpose. So the client is just rolling the dice – taking a crapshoot and hoping to find a good psychic reader. But since the client rarely knows how to select a good reader, they fall for the marketing instead.
Having briefly tried my hand at this type of service I know firsthand that the clients who actually use the service are facing the worst kind of domestic problems – being beaten, eviction, financial crisis, family members going to jail and on and on. These people usually need real counseling for hours at a time. A few minutes here or there will rarely be any help to them. It is heartbreaking really, because it’s almost impossible to truly help them under the hotline conditions. Also, these are the people least able to pay the per-minute charges in the first place. On the psychic hotline, the only winner is the psychic hotline itself – not the client and not the reader.
Another downside of the hotline is this: you go on as a client thinking you will get your questions answered in a 10 or 20 minute session at $3 per minute, and that seems reasonable. But that’s almost never what happens. The readers who make it to the top of the hotline listings (the one you will see most visibly) are ALWAYS the one’s who are good at keeping people on the line for an hour or more (usually $180 or more for the hour). And now, suddenly your cheap reading isn’t so cheap, and you’ve been led in circles and probably didn’t ever get any real deep insight because the psychic reader was busy keeping you on the hook for the per-minute charges. They were really good at talking about what you had for lunch!
The whole Psychic Hotline system is set up so that it completely defeats anyone who is seeking real depth of meaning, true psychic information or astrological counseling. This is why I say, just avoid them altogether, pay for a full psychic session with someone really good and then use the time effectively!
Remember – ALWAYS trust your intuition when going to a reader or psychic. Here’s a quick exercise to help you do just that:
When deciding to choose a psychic, intuitive or astrologer look at their picture, name or listing. Place your hand over your Solar Plexus while you ask yourself if they will be able to give you the guidance and assistance that you need. Close your eyes. If the answer is yes, you should get a warm feeling of affirmation. If no, you will feel nothing or it will feel cold or unpleasant. Go with the person who gives you the STRONGEST feeling of affirmation.

Beliefnet published an interesting article on Judaism and God, here’s an excerpt:
“The verses immediately above warn against divination, seeking guidance from astrology, reading omens, and so on. Rather than trying to outsmart Him, accept your cup from God.
This isn’t to say that Judaism entirely disdains such magic arts as false and empty. Some authorities do, some not. Rather the warning is against seeking out insight from them”
The actual translation for the word ‘astrologer’ also means Chaldean.
Just look in the footnotes of your Bible.
Chaldeans were a sect of people who practiced witchcraft as well as a host of unsavory sacrifices and other types of worship. I don’t know of any Astrologers who do any of those things!
Not all things that are called Astrology are the same and they are definitely not all equal. Most “Astrology” is very shallow and not helpful to people. A deeper form of Astrology (that I use called 4D Astrology) is far closer to counseling and therapy. It really helps people to change the places where they may be stuck in their lives.
My experience with most religion is that it is all about controlling people’s lives and giving all power to the authority (pope, priest, rabbi). But all truth, meaning and ultimate credit should always go only to God – not to man. Giving credit to man is the same as building the tower of Babel.
The trouble with translating the Bible is that many of these ancient words (like the Aramaic word for Astrologer) have several meanings. The word for teeth might actually also mean vapor or something equally unrelated in most cases. This is why the Catholic Vatican will ONLY let people in to look at their ancient texts who have already agreed to THEIR version of the interpretations of those words. Ultimately the public is duped, and unless you are a scholar of Aramaic who has also seen and translated those ancient scrolls firsthand, (and I just explained why nobody has) you simply do not have the authority to interpret the word! Actually, if you read the Bible, it says in it’s own pages that NOBODY can interpret the scroll (Bible) – except the ONE person it describes. Just look up Revelation 5; 1-5 (Sorry to Jew’s I’ve read the whole book, not just the first half.)
If you’d actually like to learn something for yourself, rather than blindly accepting what is told to you by someone calling themselves a holy person (and interpreting the ‘word’ in the way that THEY have been told to) then I have some free info on how Astrology really works. I have researched it, and to my own satisfaction I am quite SURE that it is not against the will of God.
OK, the Eclipses are over, but the influence is not. It’s like dealing with aftershocks. And these can go on for the next 3 months. Whatever you’ve been coping with may have finally ended, but you’ll still be dealing with it for a while. Ultimately, my best suggestion is to NOT hide anything, be 100% completely honest and above board – especially if you’ve made some mistakes. I also suggest completely letting go of any expectations or ideas of how you might think things should be – that is a sure fire recipe for pain during this cycle.
A good illustration of this is the issue of customer service. It is the ONE thing that sets stellar companies apart from those that, well, just plain suck. We saw what happened with a Real Estate system that didn’t care about people this year, and now we are all paying the price for it. It all boils down to bad customer service. The RE/Mortgage industry didn’t care about people, they only cared about $ and committed fraud to get it. This amounts to REALLY BAD customer service. I don’t know how long an industry can expect it’s clients to stick around when they literally sell them to the sharks.
My own worst customer service nightmare involved a Compaq computer, Microsoft and Best Buy (please notice that Best Buy is now un-coincidentally OUT of business altogether). I was so excited when I brought the shiny new device home and installed it on my desk. Like everyone else who uses a computer for business I put all of my important documents on it, saved all my customer and personal contact information on it and basically proceeded to use it as my surrogate brain.
What a mistake.
Over the course of the next 4 months that computer had no less than 10 things go wrong with it! And every time I took it in to those guys at Best Buy I got the run around, indifference and bored, slack jawed looks from slow moving customer service reps. Nobody cared. And I was out of business for days or weeks at a time when they ‘fixed’ the problem. Allegedly. Not really.
But they wouldn’t take the heap of garbagio back. Oh no, it would have been too easy for them to make me happy and give me a machine that actually worked. Instead they enjoyed prolonging the pain.
Finally, I caught on that there are Lemon laws that protect customers from things like this. So I started collecting receipts for the problems and when the same problem arose 4+ times I left the heap of digital dumpster trash on their counter and took them to small claims court to get my money back (and a better computer from a different store.)
The judge gave me my refund plus many additional unrequested cash pluses for all the software that I lost on the computer. He really felt my pain.
After that I went out and bought an Apple. I have never looked back and you’d have to pay me HUGE $$ to get me to ever depend on a PC again as long as I live. The experience was THAT bad. But as much as I despise the Microsoft System, I love and adore my Mac. Talk about GREAT customer service. The whole Mac experience turned me into a raving fan, and I don’t become a fan of anything EVER!! Sheesh, you’d think I was getting commission from Apple for this, but no, I just love the system, the store, the service and the style. I don’t care if I have to pay more. I know that the machine will last me at least 5 times as long – and since I am a practical (and essentially cheap) person, that looks like a bargain to me. Especially when you factor in the FRUSTRATION of my past experience. No, I never want to do that again. It’s Mac all the way for me.
There are a few other companies that I’ve had horrible experiences with, and wouldn’t ever go back to again, like BofA, some Internet Marketers and about a dozen Guru’s. Oh, and Hollywood. In Hollywood, you either have to enjoy being stabbed in the back by friends, ripped off, ignored, insulted and slandered, or just get out. But that should be obvious. It’s not a good idea to be deep in a shallow pond. Kind of like beaching a whale. In this story, the whale is me – or at least that’s what they kept telling me. No, they do not like size 6 girls in Hollywood. Size 6 is obese.
BTW – I DO look overweight in the video on the front page of my Blog, that’s because I was 3 months pregnant when this was filmed – another cardinal sin in Hollywood – unless of course you are a pop-star who runs around flashing the paparazzi with no underwear ;-0 !!
Anyway, I am on a rant because one of my favorite online writers, John Carlton wrote a great post this week about ‘How to Lose Customers and Persuade People to Hate You’. He gives solid actionable business advice with an eye towards providing great value to the customer – which is the only way that I have ever done business, and bad customer service is probably the real reason for our economic candle wax meltdown experience. I love this guy’s writing, because he always makes me laugh at the sheer humanity of it all, and somehow that eases those little aches and pains that life likes to throw at us.
And it struck me that YOU might like the benefit of some of my very painful experience in the world of online business building. SO, I am putting together a little comparison guide for anyone who wants to get the real scoop on all the online hype. And no, I won’t be charging for it.
