Mercury Retrograde in Taurus started on April 18th and Mercury goes direct on May 11, 2010. But to really understand what the Retrograde of Mercury means watch the Video below.
Unfortunately there are a lot of amateur Astrologers out there who have given Mercury Retrograde a bad name. It’s only bad if you don’t know how to use it! If it was really bad then the USA (which as a Natal Mercury Retrograde) would never have become a successful country, and yet it became a SuperPower.
People who are usually most effected by the Retro Mercury are Gemini’s and Virgo’s as well as those who have planets in the effected degrees, in this case between 2 and 12 degrees Taurus.
And since I am a Taurus with Mercury in Taurus Eclipsing my Sun, I feel that I really have the authority to explain what this iteration of it means to us all. Basically, Taurus is the master of systems and organization, especially when Mercury is there. Taurus get’s very disoriented in confusion and needs order. This incarnation of Mercury Retrograde asks us all to organize something in our lives – especially the physical side of it. This current Retrograde gives us the chance to do it!
Also, the timing of each retrograde depends on seeing the aspects (ALL the aspects) that he makes during his travels. This is how we know when to benefit from him and when to avoid our communication problems.

Oh, I never said that kind of thing doesn’t happen. It does. I just had to return a hard-drive that was formatted for PC after I specifically asked for a Mac one. But it worked out in my favor and I ended up saving some money. I also know I will spend the next 3-4 weeks fixing all my computer files.
But the good news for you Angie is that you will learn something about working with AOL and never have this problem again. If you want my suggestion – it is to get off of AOL asap – they are notorious for things like that.
AOL is just about the worst place to have an e-mail account if you want to send out any kind of bulk message. This has been a long-term problem online. Most people just succumb and get an autoresponder service like constantcontact.com or webmonkey.com (better than Constant contact).
If you spend any time at all online you will learn that e-mail deliverability is an ongoing problem for almost all small businesses.
Virgo here…retro Mercury has my natal Libra Merc. slowing down, but not so much that I won’t edit you.
It’s “affected,” not “effected.” And “gets” not “get’s”, which would be contraction for “get is” and that isn’t even anything I’ve ever heard! Do you mean that Mercury is combust your Sun when you refer to it eclipsing your Sun? Taurus is earthy and Virgo organizes. I’ve never known a particularly organized Taurus. Now is the time to reflect and do everything that starts with “re.” If it involves the earth…even better.

You ARE a Virgo. My typos are my trademark! OK, so I’m not perfect, which my own Virgo planets find deeply offensive.
But still, the Taurus in me IS a system maker. Systems are all about order – even if you don’t define that as organized, I do. When things are in a system then they have a place and a purpose, and I’m not just talking bookkeeping here. And this – to me – is what organization is all about.
Yes – Merc combust – but that’s not what makes it an Eclipse. Merc and the Sun are in an Eclipse in exactly the same way that the Sun and Moon can form an Eclipse. It is the Declinations that cause it be an actual eclipse and not just a conjunction…. This is a significant difference in how I practice Astrology – I look at the Declinations too.
I’m an Aries (Aries Rising, Sun, Moon, Venus and Mercury). The only place Taurus shows up is in my 2nd house. And for some reason, this retrograde energy for the pass week has been really challenging – almost like I’m speaking another language than many others (others who are also really snappy, etc.) UGH. Can’t wait for an energy shift.
My PC and all electronics are doing fine though. LOL

Wow, all that Aries is a whole lotta warrior energy to carry around in a female body.
It’s not the Retrograde Mercury that you’re having trouble with. It’s the upcoming Lunar Eclipse (June 26th) with a Grand Cross in early Cardinal signs (Aries, Libra, Cancer, Capricorn) that’s giving you trouble. Eclipse events start 3 months before the Eclipse. And this next one is VERY difficult. Especially if you have a lot of planets at early Cardinal signs (anything you have in 0′-8′ Aries is effected.)
Unfortunately this will be a huge Eclipse and you are going to feel more challenges all the way through July. So prepare yourself now. That’s as specific as I can get without looking at your chart and seeing what is really going on at Every level (I look at 4 levels instead of just 1 like most Astrologers).
I recommend you get the to give you a full look at what effect this next pair of Eclipses is having on you. I would recommend this for anyone who is a cardinal sign (Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn) or who knows they have planets at early degrees of these Cardinal signs. You really want to be prepared for this one.
