Mayan Calendar, 2012 and The TOTAL Lunar Eclipse of 2010

August 20th, 2010 by auracle · No Comments

There’s a lot being made of the Mayan Prophecy in the movie 2012 Doomsday. Trouble is, everyone thinks it’s Dec 21 2012 (The Winter Solstice) – but that overlooks the REAL Astrological fact that there is a TOTAL Lunar Eclipse coming up 2 years ahead of schedule on Dec 21, 2010.

Mayan Prophecy, mayan calendar, 2012

The Movie 2012 is a take on the Mayan Caledar Prediction

Why I see Dec 21, 2012 as the Wrong Date:
There is a very good argument that our modern translation of the Mayan calendar is wrong. This is due to the fact that our Gregorian calendar is just about as wrong of a timekeeping system as we could possibly have. This alone is enough for me to think it’s time for a Mayan 2012 kind of meltdown. In my personal opinion, our version of time is a trap and a lie. But first a brief lesson on time and why ours is so screwed up.

Why our Gregorian Time Calendar is a Mess:
Once upon a time, time itself was based on a Sacred Calendar, which followed the Moon. Such a calendar has 13 months – just like the 13 lunar cycles of the year. Each month was 28 days long – just like the Moon Cycle.

But then, after the time of Christ and all the drama that was stirred up then, the Roman Emperors got involved, changed things around a bunch, gave us 12 months of 30 days each and a weird Leap Day. This was a rough attempt to create a Solar Calendar – based on the Earth’s annual movement around the Sun. The only trouble with that is that each year isn’t exactly a nice neat little package as they tried to represent. And then those crazy Emperors all started to get swelled egos and wanted the month THEY were born in to have more days than any other month. Augustus Caesar stole a day from February and gave it to August (the month of his birth). Julius Caesar did the same for July. It wasn’t long before February was the shortest month and the whole calendar started to look lopsided and wobbly.

The Pre-Gregorian Lunar/Solar Calendar:
Getting back to the Mayan Calendar, we need to go back to those BC days and then account for what happened in the time of Christ and after. but first a quick lesson in how time was counted when Christ was born. If you look in the Old Testament you will see that the Passover takes place on the First New Moon in the first month of the year – called Abib. This is basically the first Lunar cycle after the Spring Equinox (April 20 or 21) each year. In Astrological terms, Passover takes place on the first Full Moon of Aries.

In sharp contrast to all of this, the Mayan’s had the MOST accurate system for keeping time that we have record of on planet Earth. Nobody has done it better before or since. But their system is pretty dang complicated. But that’s beside the point. The point I am making here today is that our western translation of the Mayan date for the end of the Yuga (age) as coming at Dec 21 2012, they accurately counted for it ending on a Winter Solstice but have probably lost a few years worth of Moons in there somewhere (months). One place where they probably lost time was in the Year of Christ’s death. The Zero year for our Gregorian calendar. Also, each subsequent year for over 2,000 years has had 12 moons instead of the natural 13 – that’s a lot of months to lose.

The TOTAL Lunar Eclipse on Dec 21, 2010:
As an Astrologer, when I look at the STARS (which is what the Mayans used as the basis of their calendar) I see 2010 – the year we are in – as being the intense one. And the Eclipse on Dec 21, 2010 is truly a heavy hitter.

First off this is a TOTAL Eclipse – so there is some completely new revelation that it represents. It takes place on the shortest, darkest day of the year. The day of maximum oppression, and – for lack of a better word – evil. The Eclipse itself takes place smack dab in the center of the Pacific Ocean. Right in the middle of the ‘Ring of Fire’ where all the worlds Earthquakes have happened this year. The impact here is one of destabilizing one of the Earth’s most vulnerable areas.

Just for the sake of clarity I am not predicting Doomsday on Dec 21, 2010 or Dec 21, 2012 for that matter (I’ll leave that to Hollywood), but I AM pointing out that we are under some very dramatic Astrological influences NOW.

To understand what the Eclpse’s mean to YOU personally, take a look at your Personal Astrology Eclipse Report.

Stay tuned, for part 2: a complete overview of the Eclipse on Dec 21, 2010 which will be posted within the next few days.

Steamy Stars Weekly Horoscope July 8-14

July 6th, 2010 by auracle · No Comments

Steamy Stars
by Aura Wright.
www.AstrologyChick.com

July 8-14 2010 The Solar Eclipse on the 11th makes for a week of disappearances. It’s human nature to want what we can’t have – so when a romantic interest makes themselves scarce, it often leads to nostalgia or obsession. Now is the time to either let go for good or reunite with passion.

HOTTEST DATE NIGHT – The 11th, but be prepared for things to NOT go as expected. If you prefer more stability with your romance, then opt to wait until after the 12th to stir the romantic fires.

Aries
Is it better to have loved and lost or is it better to hold out for something that isn’t second rate? Try to remember that true love isn’t so smooth that it bores you. And passion isn’t so hot that it burns you. There’s a middle ground my dear, halfway between a yawn-a-thon and a blistering scorch-fest.

Taurus
We’ve all got baggage, but it doesn’t always serve us. If you can resolve the past then you have the hope of being able to move on (and past) whatever has held you back. It’s time to let go, or else you’re in danger of becoming that person that drowns after the plane crash because they were trying to rescue their Luis Vuitton luggage.

Gemini
Hmm, the object of your obsession is not an easy nut to crack. Is it the thrill of the chase you are after, or something real? If it is real, it will stick, otherwise it will melt like an ice-cube in the sun, leaving behind nothing but a mirage in the desert – also known as Las Vegas.

Cancer
YOU are on someone’s mind. Someone you left in the dust. I guess you need to decide if they’ve been punished enough yet, or if you need to break out your whips and chains and call them ’slave’ in your most demanding dominatrix/dominator tone of voice. This game will go on as long as you let it.

Leo
Loss, longing, nostalgia. These are all emotions you flatly refuse to acknowledge. This is why you are feeling sapped of energy and exhausted. If you just ‘fess up and admit that you are still carrying a torch for that special someone, your energy will return and you’ll know exactly what you need to do. Knowing what you want at least gives you the jump on the competition.

Virgo
If you’re feeling like the last girl at the dance without a partner, don’t. Before you give up on love and romance once and for all, put a better spin on it. Maybe all you need is a night out with your pals dressed like an 80’s hair band and singing bad Karaoke.

Libra
You can’t possibly be content to be an appendage in someone else’s life can you? It’s time to break loose and listen to your own drummer – no matter how spastic he may be. You get to breakdance to your own personal truth. You’ll start a trend.

Scorpio
The difference between a spiritual revelation and religion is the chemicals involved. Your brain is a pharmacy, and anything that is compulsive or hypnotic leads to dependency. Your soul is calling for freedom – break free and fly like the phoenix. Then build a bonfire and dance around it in the moonlight as you burn the chains to the past.

Sagittarius
You can’t control this one, you’ll have to just let go. Release. Emptiness. Void. Rebirth and finally Renewal. Like a clean chalkboard, the writing of the next chapter is up to you. The good news is that if you really did clean that chalkboard, then anything and everything (and everyone) is possible.

Capricorn
Someone is playing ‘hide the cheese’ and it’s not you. This leaves you feeling confused and unclear where you stand in a relationship. Here’s a hint: if you can’t get a clear understanding before you hand over your heart, then hand over the cheese instead.

Aquarius
You can no longer take your ‘routines’ for granted, someone is creating a disruption and there’s not a lot you can do about – besides giving them a swift kick to the shins. Since social custom removes that option, maybe you should try courting their competition?

Pisces
If you focus too intensely on a lover, child or creative project you are bound to drive them away. There’s certainly something to be said for unavailability. It sounds like a game, until the moment when the chaser and the chasee get all caught up in each others charms – then it all seems worth it.

Steamy Stars Weekly Horoscope June 24-30

June 23rd, 2010 by auracle · No Comments

Steamy Stars
by Aura Wright.
www.AstrologyChick.com

June 24-30- 2010 This week the Eclipse reveals some hidden or secret matter – perhaps a crush you’ve been keeping to yourself? There is a sudden need to push forward with something and navigate the pitfalls of leadership. In your relationships, this is best arranged by giving each ‘leader’ their own terrain and making them King/Queen of the realm.

Find Out what the ECLIPSE means for YOU HERE

HOTTEST DATE NIGHT – Wait until the 27th to make your romantic dreams into reality or reveal your feelings for someone special. Once the Eclipse is over, sharing feelings is much gentler and smoother.

Aries
You know what you want, but getting it will take some navigation of choppy waters. Sailers avoid too much wind – and you should too right now. Too many words will only get in the way, it’s the actions you take now that prove what is truly in your heart.

Taurus
Are you valuing yourself enough? Even if your loved one, is overlooking you, it is ULTRA important for you to lead the way by example and showing what you are made of. The more we minimize ourselves to get what we think we need, the less likely we are to get it. Sometimes we need to take matters – sexual or otherwise – into our own hands!

Gemini
It’s time to examine loyalties, yours and everyone else’s. Weak loyalties create danger, strong ones – power. The most powerful relationship you have is the one where you share a loyalty to a shared principle or way of doing things, together you can achieve physical and spiritual bliss.

Cancer
Leading through inspiration brings people close to you and binds them to you like glue. This helps you to create that, ‘to the grave and beyond’ level of commitment that you crave. Give other people what they need and their stamina will go on and on – it won’t need to be coerced.

Leo
It takes courage to see something through to it’s conclusion. By doing so, you recharge your hearts batteries, expand your circle of family and embrace the passion and achievement of life. There’s no better way to ignite the bedroom fires either – uncomfortable leads to sexy.

Virgo
The idea of something is far different that it’s reality. We’ve all wanted that shiny, sparkly object/person of desire, only to find that it wasn’t all that once the package was unwrapped. The trick is to find what you need wrapped in desirable packaging, then you will enjoy the treat as much as the unwrapping.

Libra
You have the choice between real love vs. the image of love. No matter how glitzy and glamorous the neon signs are that advertise the muddy puddle, it will never be the well. You will constantly crave, and never be satisfied until you find the well. Once you do, love AND passion will bloom.

Scorpio
A passion could ignite suddenly and unexpectedly in a group or other social setting. Be aware that there are challenges or unfinished business lurking beneath the surface. The key is to keep the passion, kill the problems and shoot from the hip – which should be no problem for you.

Sagittarius
Unsteady new growth is taking place right now, so you feel a bit wobbly – in love, in life. go easy, take it slowly and get your strength and confidence up before you attempt any bedroom gymnastics! Over time you will get where you want to go, but take it easy.

Capricorn
Details, details, details. It’s where genius lives, but it’s also where love sizzles or fizzles. Take the time to concentrate and you will be able to handle all the little stuff – which frees your mind up to enjoy the big stuff – like a romantic evening of candlelight and soft music.

Aquarius
Hearding cats isn’t so hot for your sex – life. It’s frustrating and time-consuming to chase down those little guys and then they refuse to stay in formation once you do. Maybe it’s time to think through a new strategy and approach things in a way that frees your time (and your mind) enough to focus on your lover instead.

Pisces
Letting go of an old life is painful and difficult – even if it’s a good change. What you need now is to release negative emotions, and get yourself clear, centered and calm on the deepest levels. It is this same depth that will lead you straight to the deepest level of satisfaction in the coming months.

Steamy Stars Horoscope June 17-23 2010

June 18th, 2010 by auracle · No Comments

Steamy Stars
by Aura Wright.

June 17-23 2010
Eclipse timing has set in and we are under the spell of Moon for the upcoming Lunar Eclipse on the 26th. The deepest passions are ignited – both good and bad. Intense emotion and dramatic change is highlighted and relationships are full of turmoil. This is one of the most intense Eclipses in history – so be prepared to have your foundations shaken.

HOTTEST DATE NIGHT – Unless you are looking for a relationship that will rock your world into little tiny pieces, this is not a good week for starting romance, fixing romance or re-uniting with loved ones. The best we can do this week is to hold on to what we have and appreciate it. Take the time to remember and give love to all the people who are in your world.

Aries
Things may never be the same again. There is a forced ending taking place now, as a situation passes the point of being tolerable. Passion has reached it’s peak as some situation or relationship has come to the end of the line. Do whatever it takes to preserve your calm.

Taurus
You are in the popular majority, but something is going on that is too emotional to make sense of, or talk out realistically. Your best move is to take refuge, head for shelter. Sometimes passion is ignited and love preserved by remaining calm and centered whatever it takes – even if that means making yourself more unavailable and therefore more desirable.

Gemini
Chasing after someone to get your problems heard won’t do you any good. They are focused on something else – or someone else. There are more pressing concerns right now, in the meantime, use your popularity and group contacts to smooth things over and give a massage to your loved one.

Cancer
To say that you are charged up is an understatement. Relationship potential has you starry-eyed, while tensions in another area threaten to overwhelm you. You wanted heat, but this is ridiculous! Take a break, and sweat it out in a solitary way by mowing the lawn or sitting in a sauna.

Leo
Playing both sides against each other, or a love triangle has gotten out of hand. Something or someone will need to leave the situation this week. Oh, yeah, we like the heat to a point, but once we get our eyebrows singed off, it’s a different story altogether.

Virgo
Does it work to have a relationship by committee? There are so many points-of-view going on here that it’s hard to see who is actually inside this relationship. If you can navigate all these perspectives you may find a solution that works, be prepared for some mental gymnastics – but if you are good at them they could lead to the sexy kind.

Libra
An event last week, or early this week triggers you to go ask for help from your community, which should ease and calm your mind and soul. But solution is something else altogether, and it takes all the effort you can muster to get back to your famous calm and balance. Remember that balance is sexy!

Scorpio
Something that ended has caused you to make major changes. Maybe you are switching from blondes to redheads? Joining forces with a pal will add all the support you need to your new venture, just prepare yourself for outside challenges. In this situation the best medicine is clarity and honesty.

Sagittarius
You can feel the pressures mounting, the real questions are all about sharing and how to make that work and feel fair. It’s one thing to share a sandwich, but quite another to share your bed and other valuables! Clarity and asking for what you want directly works wonders.

Capricorn
Can you take the heat? This kitchen is boiling and it’s getting to the breaking point. There is only so much that anyone can handle. Sometimes it is best to let go. This is the best way to handle a person or situation that can’t be managed any other way. You’ll get what you want/need from the situation at a later time – anticipation makes it that much better.

Aquarius
There is a contradiction between your attraction to a bright sparkly personality versus your desire for an understandable sense of order. By definition, this person is disruptive. You’ll have to decide this week how to have your unpredictable sparkling starlight and the sameness of light switches at the same time.

Pisces
If you can’t quite figure out what’s going on, remember that you are not alone. Just be careful not to fall into blind leading the blind kind of situation. Be calm until the picture gets clearer, and don’t have any expectations. This way things will move smoothly and bring joyful passion to all involved – not crisis and expectation.

PART 2: Astrology and THE CUSP OF CHANGE

May 30th, 2010 by auracle · No Comments

Astrology and THE CUSP OF CHANGE:

Please read part 1 posted yesterday:  The Astrology of War – It’s not an Answer, but is it a Question?

Meanwhile, we have multiple planets threatening to change the entire world mood at a moment’s notice. These planets are: Chiron and Neptune leaving Aquarius and entering Pisces and Jupiter and Uranus leaving Pisces and entering Aries. These are planets of collective consciousness. Add to this picture the change of Saturn out of Virgo into Libra and the Eclipse taking place right on the Cardinal Cusps and we have a recipe for change. Dramatic and huge and unavoidable change. But not overnight. These movements go back and forth and gradually bring in the newness, much like a tide rises or falls. And so we have the tides of change upon us, eroding our old ways of doing things.

The ANSWERS will come from those who are asking the questions that serve the common good. These will be the leaders born out of crisis. Leaders of a new age and a new era – an era that asks different questions. And THIS is what the Astrology of planets on the cusp of change points towards.

PART 1: The Astrology of War – It’s not an Answer, but is it a Question?

May 28th, 2010 by auracle · No Comments

Recent Astrology patterns between Mars, Pluto and Saturn have made me ponder some questions about human nature, and the economy. We all remember that Hippie bumper sticker: “War is Not the Answer” and whenever I saw it I used to wonder, ‘what’s the question?’ And questions are what I am considering today. Mostly because the Astrology I have been looking at points to conflict, aggression and yes, war or warlike behavior

Since fall of 2009 we have been dealing with the Pluto (at the end of Sagittarius / beginning of Capricorn) – Saturn (end of Virgo / beg of Libra) Square. This alone is a huge weight on our combined shoulders, and is largely responsible for the destruction of the country formerly known as Haiti. But I also see this aspect repeating itself in early June – this takes place in Heliocentric charts – which standard Astrology (and astrologers) fail to address. But it is just as relevant as the previous versions of the aspect and needs our awareness just as much.

The big difference is that this time, Saturn is joined by Mars in the Helio charts and both of them Square Pluto. In addition to this all of it squares/opposes the Asteroid Juno (deception). Add to this mix the upcoming Lunar Eclipse on the early Cardinal Degrees (the degrees of seasonal change) and I see a global event. This combination creates a picture that looks a lot like war to me, and if not war, then definitely destruction of some kind.

This brings me back to my musing on the idea of questions. I am reminded of the quote, “If they can get you to ask the wrong questions then the answers don’t matter.” You see, if nothing else, this Astrological picture brings up the QUESTION of war. And war can certainly be a question. I remember my freshman year at UCSD when the entire curriculum was devoted to books like “Pure War.” and “Scandal Time” which delve into the idea of War as an economic solution and the McCarthy trials against communism respectively. In fact, the main theme of that year in college was that War is an economic decision, and a way to enforce a philosophical point of view or belief system. Reaganomics were really just the age old economy of the war machine which has historically been used to bring us out of recessions and depressions.

Enter our current situation.
It seems to me that the REAL questions we should be asking right now are about the economy and how to solve it. The problem is that many of us are looking towards the government and world authority figures to solve it. But my perspective on it is this; if those people created the problem in the first place, then how can we expect them to solve it? Not only that, but the Astrology points to an end to Saturn style authoritarianism – which means that the answers can’t possibly come from people who are asking the war question. But they can sure try!

stay tuned for part 2: Astrology and THE CUSP OF CHANGE

An Aquarius Lunar Eclipse – and now I’m tired

August 15th, 2008 by auracle · No Comments

Tomorrow’s Lunar Eclipse: Lunar Eclipse: 16 Aug 2008 24Aqu21

In general, what the Lunar Eclipse does: Reveal secret or hidden information, upset the status quo, shed light on areas where the physical is dominating the emotional/mental/spiritual levels of existence. Reveal physical problems and addictions.

What it means in Aquarius: Technology can be effected. The masses of humanity and large crowds of people can be unpredictable. Politics and politicians are thrown out of their routines, skeletons come out of the closet, groups of people re-establish social order (revolution), friendships are tested or go through sudden changes. Electrical & technical problems emerge and show themselves. Other areas that might be effected: shipping, trucking and mass transit, utility providers (like Edison, or phone co’s), large housing developments, computers and companies in the technology fields.

THE EFFECTS: are MOST powerful on the 2 days before the day of and 2 days after the Eclipse itself (Aug 14-18). The effects are still VERY powerful for the 2 weeks before and after the actual Eclipse (Aug 1-30), and the effects still MAY BE FELT up to 3 months before and after the Eclipse (May 16 – Nov 16).

Here’s my own Eclipse story:

This Eclipse took place exactly on my Nadir (the roots of the chart) and is opposed to my Mid-heaven (career and worldly reputation). The Nadir is literally ‘where you live’ on an emotional – and sometimes physical level. So, it should come as no surprise to learn that I am moving, and have been gearing up to do so over the past month. This is textbook.

In the meantime I am house-sitting for a close friend who has gone to Hawaii on vacation with her Husband and 2 kids. Last night, in the middle of the night the house alarm went off – and believe me it was LOUD. It did so right in the middle of an electrical storm with flashes of lightning going crazy everywhere. This added a nice dramatic and terrifying backdrop to the screeching alarm sounds. I finally got it disarmed, whew!

But then I found the back door open. This was more than a little scary. AND, since I didn’t get to the phone in time (I was too busy trying to deal with the back door) the Sheriff had been dispatched. Great, that’s all I need, men with .34’s coming up and quizzing me on my identity while I run around in a filmy nighty. The brief hope that maybe one of them is cute flashes through my mind as I call my friend in Hawaii. It was only late evening there, so at least I didn’t wake them up. But they already knew about it since the brother had been called by the Sheriff’s dept. I wondered momentarily if I had time to make my hair sexy before the guys with guns showed up?

After a little finesse and more than a few phone calls, the sheriff was called off – whew! I can just picture myself trying to explain why I don’t have the right name, the right ID, etc. etc. Visions of “Law and Order” and spending the night in lockup flashed briefly through my mind. OK, disaster averted. But still, my heart was pounding harder than the drums at a Kyoto festival.

Turns out that the back door is very testy, and I didn’t lock it well enough so the wind blew it open. Well, now I know (the hard way).

So, now I am tired and shaking off a “False alarm hangover” induced by the Lunar Eclipse. In defense of my peace and well-being I am nursing a cup of Jasmine Green Tea. I don’t know if it’s working, but it sounds good.

Meanwhile,

Here’s what I’ve got for you: A private 90 minute Astrology session will show you the timing of events, including those related to the Lunar Eclipse so that you can be prepared for the unexpected and disruptive changes that the Eclipse’s bring in.

Here’s what it will do for you: These changes CAN be good – but it takes a careful look to see how to make them work for you. I can do this for you. A private reading will give you the tools and insight to make the most of any changes you are going through, AND plan for success. Remember, anything can be used to your benefit, the difference lies in being prepared. The Lunar (and Solar) Eclipse this month are making waves for many of us – you CAN use it to your advantage!

Here’s what I want you to do now: Call my office at (310) 455-2210, say you read my Lunar Eclipse story on my blog and I will give you an Astrology Report for free with your session (a $49 value). Do it now, this offer expires on Sunday.

Politics, McCaine, Obama, a Solar Eclipse and Paris Hilton…

August 7th, 2008 by auracle · 6 Comments

Paris Hilton political satire

I keep saying on this blog that the Solar Eclipse allows the feminine energy of the Moon to ECLIPSE or overshadow the standard business as usual stale old boys club Solar energy of the SUN. Well, now Paris Hilton has gone and proved it, in a very hilarious way.

If you’d like to see it at it’s original exclusive location it is at funnyordie.com.

This Paris Hilton video is a satire of the very successful campaign ad that McCain just ran. And just in case you’ve been stuck in the outback fighting off Dingo’s and walleroo’s for the past 2 weeks and missed the original McCain AD that closed a 9 point gap between him and Obama in just a week here is the CBS coverage of it:

Well, it is true that she’s way hotter than either the white haired old wrinkly guy OR that other guy. And no matter how you slice it, I would vote for her policy way before either of those b*tches. How come it takes a *dumb blonde* to bridge the gap that neither the Political parties, the pundits nor the posers can manage to achieve?

Hmm, maybe she’s not so dumb after all.

August Horoscope – Solar Eclipse in Leo & Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius

August 2nd, 2008 by auracle · 4 Comments

Solar Eclipse August 1 at 9′ Leo – Lunar Eclipse August 16 at 24′ Aquarius, the theme: DO AWAY WITH EGO. AND THEN DON’T TRUST THE SOCIAL LANDSCAPE – THINGS ARE NOT AS THEY SEEM.

The Solar Eclipse is HERE
It is exact August 1st, but it’s range of power & influence started two weeks ago (around July 15) and lasts for another two weeks (about August 15). THEN we have the Lunar Eclipse on the 16h (who’s influence starts today and lasts until about the end of August).

This is what I mean by Eclipse season – and we are right in the middle of it.

Is it effecting you? The only real way to get a good look at it is to have a private reading.

Traditionally the Solar Eclipse (like the one we are having AUGUST 1 is a sign of loss of honor, position, title or other outward state of the status quo. This Solar Eclipse is in Leo – at the extremely testy 8/9th degree. It aspects the 8th degree of Aries and Libra – both of which have been implicated in assassinations – both successful and unsuccessful ones. This, I believe is why so many Astrologers (and even Hilary Clinton) are throwing the word assassination around in connection with Obama. If anyone wants to pull a stunt like that, then the entire month of August would be prime time for it to happen.

And yes, it could happen. The most dangerous dates for assassination attempst on Obama are August 6/7, August 14-17 and August 28-30, so mark those words. But if August stays clear, there are other dangerous dates in September that I will post in next month’s Horoscope.

Then there’s the Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius on the 16th at 24′ Aquarius (the sign that rules politics). LUNAR ECLIPSE themes relate more to secrets and hidden information coming to the surface, so get ready to release your skeletons from the closet once and for all. The good news about this is that we can finally unburden ourselves from something, but be prepared because Eclipse Events usually come as a surprise.

Taken together, the Leo-Aquarius Eclipse theme highlights drama around ego, identity, social scenes, politics the masses and strong leadership figures. The topsy-turvey Eclipse roller coaster will upset the status quo, bringing some people down and tossing other’s a well-deserved (but unexpected) bone.

Aries: You are tangled up in a heap of unpredictability all month long. Add to this a healthy dose of fantasy and you’ve got a good recipe for a sudden and unplanned fling with a friend which will do nothing but create waves of drama through your whole social circle. Unless, of course you have learned the lessons of discretion.  But it is the rare Aries indeed who understands this fine art. So don’t start something you can’t handle.

Taurus: The Eclipse’s are shaking you at your core and suggest huge and sweeping changes in your life. Sometimes it is good to completely clean house (or move house, or re-invent yourself). Now is the time for you to make a major overhaul. It might be hard for you to let go of the old stuff, but try to remember that the Universe always wants you to grow and always offers you MORE of who and what you truly are. New beats old in spades this month.

Gemini: Rules vs. fantasy. Friendship vs. family and all of it challenges your inner knowing to grow and expand beyond the easy ‘pat’ answers that have satisfied your relentless curiosity up until now. Your greatest asset is that intrepid mind that needs to know more, because that will send you on a journey to the depths of soul where you can finally marry all these splintered parts of yourself into one whole (and satisfied) being of true power. It’s the splintering that weakens you. You answers are inside, the outside authorities will only continue to weaken and splinter you further.

Cancer: It is your day. Every time there is a Solar Eclipse, you get to step onto the throne and take the power away from the King – what will you do with it? And will you be prepared when the Lunar Eclipse sends you an equal challenge? A challenge of obsession? This time you might think you have the answers, you might even get filled with self-justified rightiousness, but think again. Rightousness is the playground of the Ego – and this Eclipse season demands us all to throw ego to the wind.

Leo: Ahhh, you own this Eclipse season, or should I say it owns you? Either way, you must learn to detach, detach, detach. This is especially true for anything from which you have been getting a piece of your identity, recognition or status. (More true for those born between July 29-Aug 4th). For those born between the 12th-19th on the other hand, expect to deal with secrets being revealed and handled carefully.  These are the kinds of challenges that really bring out the best and worst in people, so now is really the time to get busy focusing on letting go of control and doing your inner work – it’s the only thing that will help.

Virgo: So much to do, so little time, and so little help, this is your battle cry all month. It’s enough to make you want to protest, strike, send in your pink slip and take a long vacation where they wait on you hand and foot. I’m not against this as part of a plan, I just notice that when you get back, the old problems will still be there. In other words, deal with these unpleasant situations AND take a vacation afterwards. Then you’ll feel as though you’ve earned your peace. Read Aquarius.

Libra: You won’t admit it, but you’re becoming a little bit fanatical this month, or at the very least, you’re being a driven perfectionist. Well, don’t worry too much about that, since all the drama and chaos that’s rocking your love-life and social scene wind up making the desire for perfection and control downright laughable. Yes, you are in for an eventful August, and no, it’s nothing you will be able to control. So learn to expect to deal with the unexpected.

Scorpio: Seeking answers and solutions outside yourself this month will leave you feeling like little more than a pile of peices of yourself. Not fun. What you need now is to go into the center of the wheel and find the true cause of these opposing forces – they all exist inside of you. No, there is no outside drama. It may look that way, it may FEEL that way as pieces of your identity fall away and revelations about your true nature emerge -but this is a deeply spiritual journey of self-re-invention (I just made that word up, but I like it – I invite you to do the same with yourself on the soulular level).

Sagittarius: The Eclipses can really help you this week. But still, you’re not getting off easy. Ultimately you’ve got to figure out where the real work needs to be done – and just get busy doing it. Outside changes and drama can drive your efforts forward if you are smart about it. In other words: a change in other people’s philosophies or the status of the group you belong to can lead you to reveal secrets and information of a profound nature – this helps you take on your divine role as a teacher – but be prepared for the hard work of it.

Capricorn: You are getting the help you need to get things rolling, but the road is clearly not a smooth one. Money, loans, banking, mortgages and finances are suddenly thrown up in the air like a deck of cards in the wind. Consider this: how can chaos benefit you? If you can’t answer that then study some great (and innovative) business minds like Warren Buffet or Rockefeller.

Aquarius: Read Leo, you are both in the same boat. Relationships are getting rocked harder than the earthquake that recently hit the West coast. Your whole identity is under scrutiny and you are going through major change – the kind of change that leads you to a whole new identity. This can be easy or hard, it’s up to you. The more you fight it, the harder it will be. But if you push and help, like a snake shedding it’s skin, the sooner you will see all those bright shiny new colors from the freshly revealed new you.

Pisces: The birth of a new form of service is just waiting to leap forward into your life in much the same way that Athena the goddess of wisdom lept full grown from her father Zeus’s head. (No wonder he had a headache). You too can releave your discomfort by releasing your newest genius onto the world and then letting it have a life of it’s own. After all, wisdom doesn’t need to be controlled does it?

What is a Solar Eclipse

February 25th, 2008 by auracle · No Comments

The Solar Eclipse Happens twice a year and each one has a different impact Astrologically. The Solar Eclipse may be partial or total depending on where you are on the planet. You can get a list of all the Eclipse’s and where they will be felt at NASA. The location also determines it’s strength on your Horoscope. According to Astrology the more complete the Eclipse the more powerful it is. If you are viewing a total eclipse then you are in the area where it is MOST potent. The influence of the Eclipse is felt for up to 3 months ahead and 3 months after it takes place, but most powerfully during the two weeks on either side of it.

During the Solar Eclipse it is the image of the Moon that covers that of the Sun.

The Solar Eclipse always has an impact on Leo people because the Sun rules Leo. The Solar Eclipse also impacts Cancer because the Moon rules Cancer. The actual aspects that each Eclipse makes to other planets is what determines it’s impact. For example a Solar Eclipse that connects with Mars will have some relationship with warfare, sports, competitions or bodybuilding (among other things). On the other hand, if the Eclipse is impacting Neptune it will influence the gasoline market, minerals, gold, the housing market and many other business areas. Connected to Mercury it will impact short trips, journeys, conversations, news, sales and the use of words. This is why every Eclipse is different.

Finally, to understand what the Eclipse is doing for you personally, you want to see which of YOUR planets are being impacted. You will experience the character of the Eclipse (which planets it connects to) felt in the area of your OWN planets that are effected. For example: if there is a Solar Eclipse connected to Mercury then the EVENT will relate to news, communication or messages (fax, phone, e-mail etc). If it connects to YOUR Mars, it could make you mad, cause you to feel sexual attraction, make you feel competitive or make you want to get in a fight. These are just a few ideas about how the Solar Eclipse might impact you.

Beating Depression, Alienation and Failure: Today’s Lunar Eclipse in Virgo.

February 20th, 2008 by auracle · 4 Comments

There is an Eclipse in Virgo today (Feb 20). It is a total Lunar Eclipse – completely blocking out the Sun for those of us living in the US. The Eclipse takes place at 2′ Virgo and will impact you directly if you have planets in your own chart at 28′-5′ of any sign, or if you were born on the cusp of your sign. To view a short video I create about the Lunar Eclipse and help you understand how it works:

Because this is a total Eclipse it is extremely emotional. It also impacts the seasonal degrees (0′ Cancer, 0′ Capricorn, 0′ Aries and 0′ Libra) which are the most primal degrees that we have here on planet Earth. This picture relates directly to our approach to survival on the planet and our ways of being either in alignment or the way we live today which is (mostly) out of alignment with mother Earth.

The influence of Virgo is very related to the routines we are in and how they impact our physical health. Accordingly (and disturbingly) yesterday there was a story on NPR about colonies of bats being wiped out by a strange new health problem. This is being compared to colony collapse syndrome which has decimated the US honeybee population. This is extremely upsettings since Honey is one of natures ways to boost the human immune system, and the health of the bee population directly effects the health of the human population. So far, science can’t even figure out what’s killing these bats – virus, poison, climate, etc. Any farmer will tell you that Bats really help in keeping down the pests to crops, so this could lead to really disastrous consequences.

To me this speaks to the issue of health problems that were previously secret coming into our awareness. Ultimately, it comes back to a core principle that I hold about sustainability and what it means to be and create a sustainable life that will bring us security, support, joy and health.

Most of our current systems are based on a pyramid system. This system is NOT sustainable and only the person(s) at the top reap the rewards of such a system. The people at the top also hold the power. Sustainable systems are based on a circular or hub style shape. They share power and work in a model that empowers each and every participant. This empowerment allows every one of its members to feel valued, supported and given what they need. Pyramid systems nearly always benefit a few select members at the expense of those at the bottom or base of the pyramid.

All get rich quick systems promote the idea that once you get involved you will get to the ‘top’ of the pyramid and reap the rewards. These systems work, but only for the person who is really at the top, and that person is the person selling to you NOT you!

What has this got to do with the Eclipse you may be asking yourself right now. Well, everything actually. This eclipse is bringing up feelings of disappointment, alienation, frustration and failure for many people, not to mention physical illness. These are emotional feelings. But most of us cannot quite put our finger on the source of the problems.

The reason for this message is to point out that the real source of the problem is the false foundations under which many of us are living – and laboring. These false foundations are those that are not sustainable, and they are mostly connected to our extensive efforts in the world that are usually supporting the lifestyle and dreams of other people, not ourselves.

The opportunity here is to look inward and decide how to create a different and TRULY SUSTAINABLE system in your own life. Here is an idea that I believe truly represents this sustainable system.

visit Humanity Unites Brilliance for more info. If you want to learn more then send an email to auracle*astrologychick.com.The Eclipse is bringing the problems of non-sustainable (pyramid) systems to the surface. The solution is to create a new system. The foundation for creating a new system is the willingness to take full responsibility for creating it in our own lives.

Australia apologizes to the Natives

February 16th, 2008 by auracle · No Comments

I found this incredible story about the Australian Government apologizing to the Native Aboriginals for the treatment they’d been given. What’s great also about this post is that Australian astrolger Kingsley posts the charts.

Here is one of them:

Eclipse and Australia charts

The apology came on Feb 13 under a beautiful Kite pattern. The Eclipse happened a few days before on the 7th. With a Retrograde mercury crossing the Eclipse degree, after just having passed Neptune which made this a perfect time for old wounds to be examined, and put to rest.
