What does today’s Full Moon in Taurus Mean?

November 12th, 2008 by auracle · No Comments

Today the Full Moon is in Taurus at 21′. This represents some sort of ending for a feeling of ownership, possessiveness or the release or sale of artwork, money or other possession. To see the whole Year’s Moon Phases go to this page.

The two weeks following a Full Moon are a time for us to release and let go of something connected to the sign of the Full Moon - in this case Taurus. This can mean anything that is governed by Taurus. Here is a partial list of Taurus ruled subjects:

Singing
The voice
Values
Art
Money & Banking
Connection to Earth
Sensuality
Ownership & Deeds
Beauty
Luxury
Vanity
Possessiveness
Stubbornness
Self-Indulgence
Entitlement
Exclusivity

Additionally, the chart house where you are experiencing the Full Moon will impact what area of life you are being asked to let go of something.

For Example: The Full Moon in Taurus in your 5th house of lover’s, children and creative projects might ask you to release possessiveness of your children or creative projects, or ask you to let go of an issue related to valuing people or yourself based only on money, or it could show you where you have been self-indulgent or stubborn around a creative project. These are all Taurus issues through the lens of the 5th house.

Another example might be: The Full Moon in Taurus in your 3rd house of siblings, neighbors, short trips and communications. The Full Moon in Taurus in the third house might suggest you are too possessive of your phone/e-mail/fax machine or other type of communication. Or it could suggest that there would be mail that puts an ending to something you value or ownership of something like a piece of art. The Taurus Full Moon in the 3rd house could also suggest an ownership dispute in connection to a sibling or neighbor that you will need to deal with somehow.

These are just a few examples of what the Taurus Full Moon could mean in different chart houses. Below are the houses and their meanings:

1st house: Self expression, how others see you
2nd house: Money and possessions, sensuality
3rd house: Siblings, Neighbors, short trips and communication
4th house: Home and immediate family, emotional roots, Mom
5th house: Children, creative projects, lovers and pleasures
6th house: Routines, work, employee’s, pets, health
7th house: Partnerships, justice, legalities, contract
8th house: Shared finances, stocks, bonds, mortgages, sex & death
9th house: Groups, foreigners, higher education, philosophy
10th house: Career, reputation, Status symbols, Dad
11th house: Politics, Humanitarian causes, social groups, parties, complicated systems
12th house: The unconscious, dreams, secrets, mysticism, art, insanity

You can use this guide to get a better idea of what the Full Moon in Taurus means to you, and what you are being asked to let go of over the next 2 weeks.

For a more detailed look at the WHOLE picture of what is going on in your life then I recommend an ASTROLOGY CHART REPORT. Astrology & Your Health, Fitness and Well-Being

November 12th, 2008 by auracle · No Comments

Here’s one for the record books: there is now a product available that helps you to get the best workout based on your SIGN. Astrology has been used for a lot of things, but this one is new to me.

We can easily use Astrology to pick a good date to start an exercise program, which is called Electional Astrology and is one of the areas that I specialize in (To set up a private session, call my office at (310) 455-2210). But an Astrological workout is completely new.

The DVD is scheduled to be released at Amazon.com and Astrology.com for $24.95 later this month.

On a related note, medical astrology has been around for centuries. There was a time when medical treatment wouldn’t have been considered complete without consulting the stars. Today, there is ample evidence of the Full Moon causing both excessive blood flow and filled ER rooms, and yet today Astrology is still ignored by Western medicine.

At the very least, the Hospital could be prepared for heavy Emergency Room demand by having plenty of staff on schedule during the Full Moon phase. And if YOU are electing to have surgery - avoid the Full Moon for it, since it adds to swelling, bruising and bleeding. Especially in water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces).

More specifics require personalized attention though, which you can get by calling my office to schedule a Astrology appointment (310) 455-2210.

Saturn - Uranus opposition exact on Election Day - Nov 4

October 24th, 2008 by auracle · 8 Comments

Yes, the Election is coming up. This is true, and most people are worked up about it. The Uranus - Saturn opposition that becomes EXACT on Nov 4th - Election Day, will make sure to stir up plenty of controversy and TROUBLE. The old Guard (Saturn) is pitted against the New Guard and nobody will give an inch. More than any other aspect present at this time this one is a sign of more trouble in already troubled waters. This Election Day has transits that create LONG-TERM turbulence with the US chart - no matter who is elected. It is a dramatic time. I expect the results of this election will be very challenging and cause turmoil (Uranus) for a lot of Americans.

IT’S BASIC ECONOMICS: The current financial crises we are facing is a basic lesson in ’spend less than you make,’ but on a huge governmental scale. This crisis and the fact that world stock markets (Uranus) are continuing to crumble(Saturn) today is all related to this Saturn-Uranus opposition.  Here is a very clear article that lays it out in simple economic terms:

Economic Principles

I never took trigonometry, but Astrology actually uses plenty of this kind of math! So the same laws apply.
The election isn’t going to solve any of our problems, sorry folks. I wish it were that simple. Of course, we still need to go and vote, but the US is in for some real bashing by Saturn and Uranus over the next year, and there is just no way to avoid this.

Saturn and Uranus in Opposition also create unpredictable Human Behavior and Hate crimes.

Last night I saw a play about racism at The Actors Gang. This is Tim Robbin’s theater, and he was there. We spoke briefly about the upcoming election and he was concerned about disenfranchised voters. I mentioned that PBS had a YouTube station set up for people to video tape their voting experiences. He’s on Bill Maher tonight, and will be giving out the link, but here it is for you now

Record your Vote

Seeing that play sure made me feel white, while at the same time reminding me that I am Jewish. I was sitting next to one of my closest friends who is Palestinian. Under different circumstances we should hate each other, but neither of us sees ourselves purely through race identity. The GIFT of Saturn combined with Uranus is the ability for us to ‘get past’ our tribal/survival thinking. Indeed thinking from a perspective of vision instead of fear and us against them survival is the ONLY remedy for Saturn opposed to Uranus woes. It’s time to remember that we’re all in this together.

Anyway, feelings about color is a major issue and concern in this presidential ‘race’. Maybe this gives is all a chance to look inwards and see where we have a victim/victimizer inner drama taking place (Saturn opposed to Uranus). One of the most powerful moments in the play was when an actress pointed out that seeing what the effects of man’s inhumanity to man really ARE, she realized that she could do this. We all could. This issue is on the surface for us to collectively address, heal and move to a new level. My intention is for this to be easy and for us to collectively move to a higher state of awareness. But I still think it’s a good idea to be prepared (but armed with courage and loving action).

Of course, the only answer to racial tension is to create a community and identity that transcends the borders of skin color - a wholeness. The only way to really do this is for us to see ourselves as all part of the whole - all connected to the one planet we share our earth walk with. Really, if we think about it, we can’t ever get away from our connection to oneness. Simply by virtue of our feet being connected to the ground through gravity, that ground connects us to every other living thing on the planet. In the truest, most real sense of it: we are all ONE.  One Planet.

Saturn Opposed to Uranus wakes us up to the possibility that it could take a crisis that threatens the planet itself, Is this what it takes for us to pull together and see this?
I hope not, but looking at the Astrology for next year, I fear yes.
I am merely the thunder (Saturn) that warns of the approaching lightning (Uranus).

Is Mercury Retrograde Getting your goat? Grrrrr!!

October 9th, 2008 by auracle · No Comments

Let’s talk about Mercury Retrograde (Direct again on Oct 15th but not out of the shadow until Oct 30th). Over the years, my experience with the backtracking planet, that twisted trickster, monkey-wrench in the works joker of all jokers, Mercury, has given me much to cry about. But Mercury Retrograde has also given me much to laugh about.

I find the best way to do this is by telling you a story. Over the past few weeks while the little prankster has been going backwards, I have had to revamp my internet/wireless router, attempt to install a new dishwasher, travel all over town to pick up my mail from 3 different locations (don’t even ask), juggle returns for a phone jack, install Skype & AIM and catch up on my social networking. And if that wasn’t enough, I am now faced with the choice of which coffee shop I like best - there are 5 Starbucks (6 if you count the one inside Pavilions), 3 Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf’s and 1 Peets Coffee within walking distance! And of course there is my Libra brother that I’ve been worried about (Mercury is in Libra). And I haven’t even scratched the surface. Can you relate?

Then, of course there was the time during Mercury Retro I tried to replace a glass shelf for a bookshelf and after many trips to the glassman (which was it’s own trip to the dark side, but don’t distract me). I finally got what looked like a replacement shelf. But no, what I ended up with was a shelf that was HALF the thickness I needed - even after I had SPECIFIED THE SIZE. Of course it wasn’t in writing, so Mercury left me footing the bill. Ahhh, chalk it up to some kind of karmic payback. You see, this IS what Mercury Retrograde is up to - he’s balancing the scales. Somewhere, someplace I messed with a glassman, and now I had to pay the price! Mercury Retrograde cost me my pocket change.

YES, Mercury Retrograde rules pocket change, AND personal change. the best way to sum it up is with this very mercurial saying about change: “change comes from within.”

Mercury governs all these subjects: siblings, neighbors/neighborhoods, short trips, mail, phones, etc, etc. So, we can all see why the Retrograde Mercury has gotten such a bad rap. He sure is a BUSY bugger. But is it all BAD? I don’t think so.

But there’s more, the problems that Mercury’s highlighted are not news to me, I knew I’d have to deal with every last one of them. They just require attention. The fact is, once most of this is settled into a routine, a system or a clear course of action then there will be stability around all of them. This is an extremely GOOD thing. Not only that, but I know how to look at Astrological dates to plant seeds for new growth under prime Universal conditions. And Retrograde can actually be a VERY POWERFUL time to do this.

**My disclaimer: I only stand behind the dates I have personally selected for you, this is called Electional Astrology and is the art of creating the BEST timing for starting things using the timing of the Universe. One of the reasons we are having problems in our economy and with the out-of-whackness of our environment (don’t get me started) is because we are out of whack with the COSMOS. Proper selection of timing puts us back IN WHACK with the timing of the Universe. And that leads to success and Happiness.

Successful date selection is the name of the game, even during a Retrograde Mercury!
For your best success in Business, love/marriage send an e-mail: success@astrologychick.com

Religion
Fantasy
The subconscious
Paint
Dreams (without action backing them up)
Delusions & Illusions

Additionally, the chart house where you are experiencing the Full Moon will impact what area of life you are being asked to let go of something.

These are all Pisces issues through the lens of the 5th house.

Another example might be: The Full Moon in Pisces in your 3rd house of siblings, neighbors, short trips and communications. The Full Moon in Pisces in the third house might suggest you are spending too much time on the phone/e-mail/fax machine or running around town for a dream. The Pisces Full Moon in the 3rd house could also suggest a drug or alcohol related problem in connection to a sibling or neighbor that you will need to ‘let go’ of in some way.

My new 3G iPhone already paid for itself thanks to Neptune

August 10th, 2008 by auracle · No Comments

I waited to buy my Iphone. I waited over a week actually, for several reasons.

FIRST: My astrological philosophy is that when something is hard to do - IE you must wait 6 hours in line to get your hands on a coveted iPhone device - then that is a BAD aspect and I don’t want to buy a phone at that time.

SECOND: As an Astrologer, I know that electronics croak when they are getting bad aspects from Neptune or to one’s own natal Neptune. I could regale you with sob stories about the PC that I had which crashed and burned like clockwork every few weeks until I finally had to force it back into Circuit City’s reluctant hands and demand a refund. But you get the idea.

Once that PC problem was solved I had a flash of insight: why not look at my own compatibility with the endlessly troublesome Microsoft/Windows platform. OHhhhhh, lookie, lookie - it couldn’t possibly be any MORE INCOMPATIBLE for me. Specifically we clashed in all directions Neptune related. Yep, that was it for me - no more Windows. My Mac and I have been living in digital bliss ever since.

Soooo, the moral of the story is that I waited to buy my iPhone until any pesky Astrology aspects that might threaten my lust affair with my new iphone were irrelevant. Even better, I made sure I was getting GOOD aspects. And it already paid off.

You see I went to court today to fight one of those new fangled camera snap-shot traffic tickets (we can all thank Saturn in Virgo for these). Ultimately the only way to fight this ticket is to create a shadow of a doubt that the grainy traffic enforcement picture might not actually be YOU, driving YOUR car. You must create this shadow of a doubt even though the snapshot strongly resembles YOU and has technical timestamps proving six ways to Sunday that yes, the person in the drivers seat did actually enter the intersection AFTER the light turned red. Things looked bad, they looked real bad. But I had an ace up my sleeve - I had my trusty iPhone.

traffic ticket

Above is the “alleged” photo of me running a red light.

You see, there on my iPhone was a picture of someone who looked enough like me that she could have been a relative who had just happened to drive my car. Basically the court just wants to see proof. It worked to my advantage that I gave proof in a way that the court had never seen before. Both the prosecuting officer and the Judge we so distracted by the sleek beauty and glossy appeal of my iPhone that she ruled in my favor. Or at least that’s the story I like to tell myself.

It’s probably closer to the truth to say that she had doubts and thought the woman in the photo might be mistaken for me. But, for my part, thanks to Neptune, I’ve fallen a little deeper in love with my iPhone. I know it’s not healthy, I know people will condemn our love - but I can’t help it, I’m a geek.

How to use Astrology for Fitness…

August 5th, 2008 by auracle · No Comments

AN OPEN INVITATION TO USE ASTROLOGY TO GET FIT & HEALTHY

MARS in Virgo - Well behaved and focused energy, attention to health and the discipline (usually) to follow through with new routines and habits. BONUS: Mars is currently crossing the generational planets (Pluto and Uranus) for the entire Generation X crowd who have these two in Virgo. THEN Mars crosses Generation Y’s Pluto and Uranus in Libra starting August 19th and finally Mars gives a good shove to the Boomlet generation (also known as Millenials) as he traipses through Scorpio starting on October 4th. What does it mean? If you are between 35- 45 now is a great time to start getting in shape. If you are between 20-35 you will feel the urge to exercise (or fight if your not getting enough endorphins) starting in Late August and into September, and finally, if you are under 20 you’ll feel it starting in October.

How can I use Astrology to improve my fitness? Over the next 6 weeks I will attempt to not only answer that question - but prove it as well.

Just like everybody else, I want to be in shape. Just because I am an Astrologer doesn’t give me any excuse to sit around on my lazy assets! SO, for your benefit and mine I am embarking on the simplest - but most powerful - exercise challenge that I can find. It’s called A Hundred Push Ups, just follow the link to check out how simple and easy it is to follow. It only takes 30 minutes a week (10 minutes 3 x per week). My schedule expects to be crazy for the next few months - but even with all that, I know I can do this program.

TO ACHIEVE SUCCESS WITH THIS PLAN: First and foremost I must be sure that I have the commitment, determination and willingness to follow it through all the way. First I ask myself if I do, my answer is YES! Then I muscle test myself to be sure that I don’t have any hidden subconscious blockages that will sneak up and sabotage my efforts. Good news - the muscle test also says YES!

My muscle test technique involves pressing my left thumb and pinkie together into a loop, then making a hook out of my right index finger. Then I ask myself if I can follow this program through, despite the inevitable distractions and obstacles that will arise. Since I can’t break the loop with my index finger, the answer is yes. If I COULD break the loop - then I’d need to do some inner work to clear my obstacles.

The method that I use for clearing subconscious obstacles is Hypnotherapy, and it really works. If you’d like to schedule a session for yourself (to get through your 100 push-ups program, quit smoking or break another bad habit) then call my office 1 (310) 455-2210 to set up a session.

THE ASTROLOGY - OK, since I was all excited by the 100 push-ups website and decided to take the challenge, I had to check the Astrology and see if it was supporting my efforts. For any exercise program to work, you will need to be getting good transits (influences) from and to Mars (he rules athletics, muscles and action). It will also help to get good Pluto transits - but those are long and slow and less important for choosing an exact date to start. Good aspects from or to Venus will also help since Venus rules beauty, and, admit it or not, most of us are working out to improve our attraction powers!

Here’s what I found: Transiting Mars in Virgo (the sign of health and daily habits) is making a MYSTIC RECTANGLE in my chart by conjunction to my Uranus (the public - this is why I am blogging about it), Sextile to my Neptune (energy and long range commitments). On the other side of the Kite Mars is opposing transiting Uranus (Unpredictability - my schedule is going to be crazy for the next 6 weeks, and could easily be unsettled by social drama) and Mars is making a Sextile (ooh baby!) to my Sun (this is Me and my energy levels - good news) My Mercury is Conjunct my Sun (I will want to talk about this process).

All of these aspects help me get what I want out of the program, except for the Mars - Uranus opposition. BUT, and this is a big exception - since it is part of a MYSTIC RECTANGLE I am supported by the overall energy and the whole pattern it creates. In other words, the disruptions won’t be such a big deal. The only exception I can think of is if the 100 push ups website goes down and I can’t access it. Hmm, for good measure I will download the program to my Mac. Now I have insurance.

I also feel I must mention that because of my Natural Retrograde Mars I have very low energy levels and poor circulation naturally. This is just an extra hurdle for me when getting into any exercise program. As I commit to the program though, the Moon is crossing my Mars and the transiting Sun is making a sextile to it - this strengthens my energy and aligns the conscious with the subconscious so that I can take the right actions. And finally, my Mercury - Neptune opposition is being eased by the aspects from transiting Mars. This should help with my natural respiratory weakness. You see, I am NOT a born athlete, I gotta work at it.

SO, please leave your comments, and especially let me know if you are also starting the 100 push ups program. I will be updating my progress here. Strength in numbers - that’s what I say, so I invite you all to join the challenge. I will be starting next Monday (with a little prep this week to gear up for it). But you can start anytime you like. Let’s all use Astrology to improve our Fitness! I can’t speak to the aspects for YOU personally without looking at your chart, but I CAN say that the universal Mars pressure that is in high gear for the rest of August is best used in some kind of workout program - just be careful to take care of yourself and not get hurt.

Now that you have some idea of how to use Mars to improve your fitness, join me!

More about Saturn Transiting Virgo

July 4th, 2008 by auracle · 1 Comment

Talking about Saturn we need to remember that it is the ASPECTS that have the power, not simply the presence of a planet in one sign or another.

WHAT’S A TRANSIT? I’m glad you asked. A transit is when a planet moving through the sky makes an aspect or a pattern with the planets in your own Natal Chart.

WHAT’S AN ASPECT? A mathematical degree used by Astrologers to see what planet in your Natal Chart is being ‘touched’ and how it’s being touched, ie: caressed or throttled? and for how long this ‘touching’ will continue to go on.

WHAT ARE PATTERNS? These are shapes made by a few planets together, like squares and triangles and long stretchy triangles. Remember art class? See, that stuff was useful after all.

WHAT’S A NATAL CHART? It is the snapshot of the heavens at the moment when YOU were born. It is a lot like a snowflake or a fingerprint. It is unique. Most Natal Charts only refer to a flat view of the heavens. But there are at least 3 more dimensions to see than this. You will learn about this in the FREE ASTROLOGY SECRETS REPORT that you get when you subscribe to my WEEKLY NEWSLETTER. You can learn more about the 4-D NATAL CHART by going HERE.

Saturn WILL ONLY BE IN EFFECT when he is within a ASPECT of a Natal Planet (A planet in YOUR birth chart.) During those windows of time THE ASPECT will trigger events in your life. I consider it in effect when within 3 degrees - no more.

DON’T FORGET THAT THE ENTIRE GEN X is getting major Saturn Transits sometime in the next 2 years.

Saturn is no pick-nick by any stretch - regardless of what others have said. Here are some types of Saturn experiences:

LAWSUITS
DIVORCES
ILLNES
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY
FATHER FIGURE PROBLEMS
BOSS PROBLEMS
PARKING TICKETS - TAXES - IRS
BANKING RED TAPE (yes foreclosure!)

and YES, when I was having bad Saturn transits - several people in my life died.

Additionally: It is the Patters that are triggered that suggest if you will come out on the winning (or losing) end of tangles with Saturn.

FOR EXAMPLE: If Saturn made a conjunction to your URANUS IN VIRGO - and you also had a GRAND TRINE in your own Natal Chart with say URANUS - SUN - JUPITER all in EARTH signs, then the hard work that Saturn triggers might put you in charge of your own business, or get you organized to open your own massage school. This is exactly what a client who has a Grand Trine being triggered by Transiting Saturn, is doing.

clearly this is NOT bad for her!

But that’s not all: HARD PATTERNS triggered by Saturn = tough times. Hard patterns are: Squares, oppositions, quincunx, T-squares, Grand Crosses, Yods and a variety of others. Not to mention the Saturn midpoints and the challenges that they can unleash!

It can be difficult for those of us pros who want to look a the WHOLE PICTURE to boil it down to one small sound bite or another.

For your sake: Here’s my best effort at a sound-bite on Saturn IN VIRGO:
**by the way Saturn rules the anus**

The bean counters have taken over the world! Death by a thousand paper cuts!

IE: Camera traffic cops are enforcing every intersection in the major cities. Seems like no way to win against those bean counters.

The only way to fight beans is with beans!

Details, details, details, hair-splitting and a puckered behind, especially with laws. This is how you can win in the end. In other words: got an electronic traffic ticket for $400? Well, you DO have the right to face your accuser.

Huh? Face a camera? Not exactly, but you can demand to know if it was functioning right, you can demand paperwork. If they can’t produce it - or if no cop shows up, you win. Technicality. A shell game for cash.

Don’t be the dupe, have your facts screwed on nice and tight.

REMEMBER: he or she who has the tightest behind WINS all Saturn battles!

Want to know what Saturn has in store for you? Then order a NATAL CHART and instead of entering info for your partner, just type in SATURN!

Please note that this information will be good for a range of about 6 weeks from the date of delivery. For the first 5 people I will also include a list of SATURN WARNING DATES when you must avoid contracts, starting a new job, moving, or other important beginning - the trouble this could save you is priceless!

Don’t wait to get your 4D-NATAL CHART, once Saturn is in your back yard, it’s too late to get prepared.

More about Saturn in Transit

Neptune in Aquarius - How’s He Treating You?

June 16th, 2008 by auracle · No Comments

Most Astrology sites will tell you all about what the planet in the sign is supposed to mean, ie: Neptune in Aquarius should be good for humanitarian causes, and technology etc. And this is useful for looking at some of the trends and what they mean. Yes, this is a good time for the innovation of services for the masses of humanity, for computers and other techie gadgets, but this is far from the whole picture. The real JUICE from Astrology for you, dear reader, comes from understanding the aspects Neptune is making as he travels through Aquarius.

Aspects are good or bad depending on their geometry - the angles they make and the overall patterns that they are part of.

A square is hard, a trine is usually a blessing. But the PATTERN is more important than just these aspects alone.

When Neptune is part of a Grand Cross (currently that would be in Fixed signs: Taurus, Scorpio, Aquarius & Leo) it is very different than if he was part of a Grand Trine (currently that would be in Air signs: Gemini, Libra & Aquarius).

Neptune as part of hard aspects in the fixed signs will be about money, identity, social scene and debt. It will also be about our connection to fixed and inflexible points of view. Neptune will help to melt those stubborn streaks. It may be hard to take though, since squares and oppositions bring crisis to the surface. Neptune in Square or opposition will also help bring something to a screeching halt. Endings may appear sudden, but usually they’ve been brewing for a long time.

Neptune in Trine helps to grow something, make it last, give it some spiritual ‘glue’ and help it to stick. Currently in air signs, this means that ideas, words and rules are being nourished by Neptune.

One of the reasons that it is so hard for people to get a handle on what a Neptune transit will do, is that Neptune is in charge of so very many parts of our lives. This means that there are really a TON of possibilities in how he can manifest. Forgetting or losing our memory of something and having it Zero-ed out is just one of a great many possibilities. Others include: selling, growing things, dealing with minerals or oil… But there are too many to list here.

There are other patterns that he can be part of as well, and each one has a major meaning: The kite, the unequal triangle, the Yod, the mini Trine, the mystic rectangle the dreaded T-Square and on and on.  So the story of the huge and slow transits of Neptune in Aquarius will be told by the PATTERN he’s making - with the other planets in the sky, and with the planets in your own personal Chart.

EXAMPLES:  Problems: Neptune in Aquarius is creating a Grand Cross for fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius) which creates stress and tension around old systems and structures and helps to break down the old ways of doing things. This is ONE of the reasons for the Mortgage crises right now - Scorpio rules Mortgages and Taurus rules money - both of these signs are getting melted down by Neptune in Aquarius. Problems and crises will be highlighted when someone is too materialistic or controlling (Scorpio), too egotistical (Leo), too attached to security and creature comforts (Taurus
