PART 1: The Astrology of War – It’s not an Answer, but is it a Question?

May 28th, 2010 by auracle · No Comments

Recent Astrology patterns between Mars, Pluto and Saturn have made me ponder some questions about human nature, and the economy. We all remember that Hippie bumper sticker: “War is Not the Answer” and whenever I saw it I used to wonder, ‘what’s the question?’ And questions are what I am considering today. Mostly because the Astrology I have been looking at points to conflict, aggression and yes, war or warlike behavior

Since fall of 2009 we have been dealing with the Pluto (at the end of Sagittarius / beginning of Capricorn) – Saturn (end of Virgo / beg of Libra) Square. This alone is a huge weight on our combined shoulders, and is largely responsible for the destruction of the country formerly known as Haiti. But I also see this aspect repeating itself in early June – this takes place in Heliocentric charts – which standard Astrology (and astrologers) fail to address. But it is just as relevant as the previous versions of the aspect and needs our awareness just as much.

The big difference is that this time, Saturn is joined by Mars in the Helio charts and both of them Square Pluto. In addition to this all of it squares/opposes the Asteroid Juno (deception). Add to this mix the upcoming Lunar Eclipse on the early Cardinal Degrees (the degrees of seasonal change) and I see a global event. This combination creates a picture that looks a lot like war to me, and if not war, then definitely destruction of some kind.

This brings me back to my musing on the idea of questions. I am reminded of the quote, “If they can get you to ask the wrong questions then the answers don’t matter.” You see, if nothing else, this Astrological picture brings up the QUESTION of war. And war can certainly be a question. I remember my freshman year at UCSD when the entire curriculum was devoted to books like “Pure War.” and “Scandal Time” which delve into the idea of War as an economic solution and the McCarthy trials against communism respectively. In fact, the main theme of that year in college was that War is an economic decision, and a way to enforce a philosophical point of view or belief system. Reaganomics were really just the age old economy of the war machine which has historically been used to bring us out of recessions and depressions.

Enter our current situation.
It seems to me that the REAL questions we should be asking right now are about the economy and how to solve it. The problem is that many of us are looking towards the government and world authority figures to solve it. But my perspective on it is this; if those people created the problem in the first place, then how can we expect them to solve it? Not only that, but the Astrology points to an end to Saturn style authoritarianism – which means that the answers can’t possibly come from people who are asking the war question. But they can sure try!

stay tuned for part 2: Astrology and THE CUSP OF CHANGE

The Equinox’s, Solstices & The Divine Feminine (6 year trend)

March 19th, 2008 by auracle · 3 Comments

The Spring Equinox takes place on March 21st – right in line with the Passover season. Many will be surprised to learn that passover is not simply a Jewish tradition. it is also a Christian and Catholic one, since it is referred to in the Bible in many places. The differences are connected to how this date is observed by the different religions.

RELIGION: The Christian symbolism is of Jesus on the Cross, then resurrected on Passover/Easter. A cross is an Astrological phenomenon.

On the 21st we have a Full Moon with the Sun in Aries and the Moon In Libra – both at 1′ and both are squaring Pluto at 1′ Capricorn. Some Astrologers are calling this a Grand Cross because of Mars’ location at 6′ Cancer. This is too wide for me to count and I call this pattern a T-square. A t-square is more difficult than a Grand Cross because it is not in balance, a grand square (cross) is hard, but balanced.

BUT – this T-square has future impact because all 3 t-square planets will eventually arrive at the 6th degree and then go through the doorway that has been opened by Mars over the past 6 months, starting in October of 07.

THE MARS DOORWAY: Action, crisis and warfare. Crisis between the genders, the ‘battle of the sexes.’ All of this was activated between the degrees of 24′ Gemini and 12′ Cancer. The activation laid the groundwork for events that will land up to 6 years into the future.

THE PIVOTAL DEGREES: We are most concerned with the degrees of 0′-8′ in the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn). These are perhaps the most important of our lifetime and on our planet because they rule the North and South poles and by extension the 4 directions. They are deeply and intimately tied to the climate, the Earth and issues of Global Warming.

Cancer: The divine Feminine – especially at the 0′ of Cancer. This is the Summer Solstice degree and the point of greatest HEAT – emotionally, psychologically, personally. During the Summer Solstice the SUN is way up North in the Tropic of Cancer, as far towards the North Pole as it ever gets.

Capricorn: The oppressor – especially at the 0′ of Capricorn. This is the Winter Solstice degree and the point of greatest darkness, coldness and difficulty. At this time the SUN is way DOWN SOUTH, as far as it ever gets, and is in the Tropic of Capricorn (it’s all starting to make sense now isn’t it?)

Libra: The Harvest – the balanced female energy, especially at 0′ Libra. This is the Fall Equinox when the SUN sits right at our equator. The day and night are of equal length, but getting shorter. The job of libra is to balance the EXTREMES.

Aries: New Life – the balanced male energy, especially at 0′Aries. This is the Spring Equinox (Passover). Again the SUN sits right at the equator and day and night are equal but getting longer. The job of Aries is to push the limits to their EXTREMES.

Today on planet Earth the Magnetic North and physical North are Not at the same place. (the same is true for South, West and East).

Why is this so? Science cannot answer that question. The guidance and spiritual messages I have been given tell me that they were once in perfect alignment. It was the instant that humans began to separate the Spiritual from the Physical side of existence that the Magnetic poles began to migrate away from ‘HOME.’

Today we experience this as greater and greater drama, conflict and upheaval as the 4 directional energies must constantly fight and re-correct in order to establish balance. This balance was once normal and natural. Today it is gone. Leaving us in a constant state of trying to find it again.

PROOF THAT THIS MEANS SOMETHING:
OK, I can’t quote emissions standards, ocean current changes or wind patterns and have it make any sense in relation to the PIVOTAL DEGREES, but what I can do, and ask you to do to prove that there is at least something going on here is to take out a raw EGG and balance it on a hard surface – even glass or metal. What is most remarkable is that it should balance in under a minute and it should balance on it’s NARROW POINTY END.

VIDEO: Raw Egg Balanced on POINTY END

The only times in the year when this is possible is on the Spring and Fall Equinox.

Try again on the 23rd and it won’t happen. Try it today and it won’t happen (unless this is an Equinox).

Isn’t it INTERESTING that the traditional Easter Egg hunt uses cooked eggs? Easter always takes place on the First Sunday after the Full Moon in March (which is after the Equinox) and not on a fixed date.

This experiment won’t work with a cooked egg. It also won’t work on a date that follows the Equinox. Somebody, somewhere decided to move the celebration away from the time and date when the MAGIC COULD BE PROVEN.

This effects everyone in the areas of: Traditions, Mother/Father social roles, Partnership and self vs. other in all personal involvements.

It is no accident that this year we are witnessing a woman running for president. It represents the PIVOTAL DEGREES IN ACTIVATION.

I am NOT making a political statement! A woman becoming president has many more layers of meaning than anyone has yet addressed out loud. I will go into this more in later articles.

What does it mean? Within hours of the actual equinox the MOON will square Mars causing conflict and tension in relationships and especially connected to young man and Mother figure archetypes. About 3 days later The Sun will Square Mars creating conflict between that which is traditional and governed by older men VS the archetype of the young man or warrior.

Finally in 3-6 years (this aspect happens 3 times) we have a conflict between Pluto in opposition to the MARS degree. This is a conflict of pure raw power and pits group power – the kind found in Corporations VS the young man or warrior.

OVERALL this signals a period of greater and greater conflict and warfare on the planet, one which is based in the struggles between the sexes and the desire for power. Corporations will figure prominently in the designs to take over power and control. I DON’T CARE WHO IS PRESIDENT. These things will take place regardless of who sits in the White House. But for the record you can read my Presidential Prediction article, which has caused some heavy debate.

Within 3-6 years Corporations may take over the powers of Government, and even if they don’t yet succeed – they will be trying to.

EVIDENCE? Open up a newspaper. Look at the collapsing Mortgage industries. JP Morgan is bailing out Bear Stearns at this very moment. The Government is almost a bystander in all of this. Who will have the power in the end? The Government will bail out the corporations first, before individuals, if they even have to money to do so. This is what they did in the 80’s with the S&L fiasco. Who does it give power to? The corporations.

What does this mean for you? Only a private reading will be able to give you those answers.

As you can see, this is a complex set of issues. Every person represents a complicated set of talents and challenges as well! It takes deep thinking to see all of this. To set up an appointment with me you can call (310) 455-2210.

March Horoscope

March 2nd, 2008 by auracle · No Comments

March Horoscope:

March starts with a repeat of the hair-raising Mars-Pluto opposition on the Solstice Degrees of 0-3 Cancer and Capricorn. This is like some sort of major cosmic battle between passion and control, warrior action VS domination, creativity VS destruction and even life VS death. Yeah, it’s that dramatic.

Note to self: Avoid addictive relationships, compulsive behavior and all the other ways that we humans hide from our divine nature and instead fight for power amongst ourselves.

Beginning Feb 22 and through ALL OF MARCH:  Venus  and Mercury travel together through Aquarius/Pisces – crossing Chiron, Sun and Neptune. Let the dance continue! My question for you is just this; are you doing the ‘whirling dervish’ hippie dance or do you prefer something more structured? Either way, family matters, and long term arrangements are once again the subject of the day. And weather you prefer chaotic inspiration or orderly time management this is a truly inspiring creative moment. Art, language, speeches, and fulfiling connections to one’s deepest values are possible now. Think of it as if you are able to wipe the slate clean and bathe in the waters of love that fill your soul; and from this place you can return renewed and re-invigorated.  This whole cycle is such a blessed time for love and family that I fully expect to see a wave of pregnancies and weddings (engagements) to sweep the land.  As busy as life is, there’s always time for love under the stars!

The Full Moon on March 21 in Libra asks us to release our attachments to partnerships and the roles that we have gotten stuck in. It may not mean the end of a partnership (or maybe it does?) but it definitely means that there is something to let go of as far as personal roles and our approach to those relationships. The New Moon in Pisces on the 7th opens up the opportunity to achieve a sense of spiritual connection, service and devotion and to be willing to sacrafice self indulgent motives for the greater good, for our relationships and in service to the needs of our spirit. Such a call to spiritual renewal within relationships almost always brings it’s opposite to the surface.

aries – You’re on fire for most of the month, dispite the reappearance of conflict you thought you’d buried around New Years. Ok, you’ll just have to plow through these volatile waters, but you’ve got what it takes to succeed. Power-struggles and even elements of obsession and compulsion are on the table for you to deal with once and for all. Any of these: anger, obsessive sexuality, depression or hotheadedness are all imbalances of your life-force that you are being given the chance to correct – don’t waste it!

taurus – You’re getting the chance to connect to a broader group which is rewarding for you, but it leaves your head spinning. There are tons of opportunities to express your creative gifts, your innovations, your ideas and the general fertility of your mind. Wow, it’s almost overwhelming, that’s why you need to be involved with this team of people to help you – see how it all works out?

gemini – This is a month for radical ideas to get expressed, and you are somehow in the middle of it all. Are they your ideas, your words or are you merely the mouthpiece for them? It doesn’t matter because you are about to see things get truly spicy and unpredictable. As the stakes rise, so does the heat, and you are right there, standing next to the hottest burner. Just be sure to take care of yourself and get out when the heat gets dangerous.

cancer – Get ready to see a wave of change. Whole tribes of people, whole teams of the like-minded are banding together now, and this makes for some very stormy seas. You can’t expect to navigate your boat easily in the midst of these tempest tossed seas. Your best bet is to head for a safe (and solid) piece of land and set up camp there for as long as it takes. You might want to bring along a few of your favorite friends and start a vegetable garden, you could be here for while.

leo – Fantasy, selfishness, power-struggles and all forms of bullying fill your world this month. You aredirectly involved with this whole issue of who’s right, who’s better, who’s doing more, etc, etc. I swear that these people all look like adults, and yet they are acting like 2 year olds. How much of this do you want to expose yourself to? There is a certain point when the captain has to be sure that he’s got a crew he can trust. My question is just this, can you trust yours? Maybe it’s time to cut out the dead rot.

virgo – An intense focus on your daily affairs and routines has you setting up some-kind of long term plan and strategy. Maybe it is a new business venture, maybe a new health program, or maybe you’ve just decided to plant a vegitable garden. No matter what it is, you have one eye on your group/family and another on how to keep them strong as a team. Whatever you are planning, surely has them in mind.

libra – The pressures early in the month are hard to take. You CAN handle them, but don’t get involved with anyone (or any situation) that cranks you up or pushes you to blow your top, it is not worth it. You are creatively inspired by all of this, even if there is more tension than you usually enjoy. After the 21st you are being asked to let go of some idea of your role or placement in a partnership or way of dealing with others.

scorpio – Deep inner transformation is taking place. It’s probably not at all easy, after all the month begins with Mars and Pluto warring with each other. In the long run, you are being asked to stretch, and also transformed from the inside out. One clear signal from the Universe is this: home is where the heart is, and teaming up with others is an opportunity for you to release heat, volatility or destructive firey tendencies in favor of a softer kinder approach to self and others.

sagittarius – You may be breathing a sigh of relief since most of the intense pressures seem to have lifted, Meanwhile you are watching other people wrestle with these same pressures as they re-emerge and push even harder than ever before. Battles of power, dominance and agression cover your entire financial arena, which forces you to deal with compulsion, agression, bullying and contests for dominance. Well, at least it’s not boring.

capricorn – The heat in your brain is making you nearly ready to explode. No wait, I take that back, what you really want to do is control something that is completely uncontrollable. If you’re birthday is around Dec. 19-25 this will be one heavy duty month. The Pluto – Mars opposition has returned just in time to pit control against passion, a battle which guarantees that not only will there be no winner, but there will be plenty of blood. Even control can burn with the heat of a thousand hot pokers, and there is some kind of intense control drama going on now that you are not likely to miss, even if you are completely asleep!

aquarius – A heap of resources and social connections have suddenly landed in your living room. It doesn’t matter how eclectic and unprepared your living space feels, you’re in for a long visit. This should be very enjoyable, and bring a ton of new ideas with it. Suddenly your pad seems to be grand central station for your social scene. Just enjoy it, something lasting, productive and future oriented is going to come out of it, so let it take its course.

pisces -  Your head (and your environment) are spinning for most of the month – literally. Don’t get too comfortable with any one idea or plan of action though. This foundation of quicksand is getting ready to shift once again. Not only that but there is such an incredibly high degree of fantasy and delusion surrounding you right now that reality is nearly impossible to identify. Towards the end of the month, be prepared to deal with the destruction of a cherished set of rules. Something wasn’t working about them and now it’s time to throw them out the window and build on a whole new (and this time solid) foundation.

Pluto: Planet of Power

January 22nd, 2008 by auracle · No Comments

Pluto: Planet of PowerIn the mythology of ancient Greece, PLUTO was the son of URANUS and the brother of JUPITER and NEPTUNE. When JUPITER became king of the gods by castrating their tyrannical father URANUS, he divided the world into three kingdoms for the brothers to rule. JUPITER took Mt. Olympus (normal waking consciousness) as his domain, NEPTUNE was given control over the oceans and waters (dreams, visions, fantasies and mysticism), and PLUTO took the underworld as his domain. The underworld could be equated with the ID in psychological terms. PLUTO’s domain of rulership includes basic animal drives for sex and survival as well as power and control issues. He also represents the inherent ability of an individual to rejuvenate, transform, and resurrect oneself, as well as issues related to recycling. PLUTO determines the use or abuse of overwhelming or uncontrollable forces such as nuclear fusion. Is it an accident that one of the most deadly substances ever unleashed by man is called Plutonium? Is it co-incidence that the discovery of the planet PLUTO by modern Astronomers coincides with the interest and early discovery of sub-atomic matter, such as the atom, it’s nucleus and the proton and the neutron? The forces unleashed by these tiny particles are under the rulership of PLUTO, however the knowledge and curiosity to do so falls under the domain of the mentally brilliant URANUS. At the time when this knowledge was put to use by scientists there existed a 10-year conjunction between these two planets, allowing their domains to overlap and merge. This resulted in the ability for humans to unleash the awesome and potentially devastating forces used in nuclear physics.

The oldest religions on this planet believe in the law of karma, which states that there are no accidents or co-incidences, that everything happens for a reason and that there is a divine plan behind everything in Gods universe. Astrology states that PLUTO is responsible for the evolution of humanity, both individually and collectively. It does seem true that if humanity as a whole doesn’t learn to evolve then we may just ameliorate ourselves, either with one swift kick through nuclear Armageddon or slowly through the systematic destruction of the environment and its natural resources. However, the ability of PLUTO to change and transform that which he touches does make it seem possible for us to evolve our consciousness to a level where we truly embrace a philosophy of brother and sisterhood.

Scorpio is the only sign ruled by PLUTO, which could explain why they have earned such an intense reputation. Scorpio has 3 symbols, representing the three levels of soul development found under its domain. The Scorpion is the lowest manifestation of Scorpio characteristics, engaging in the pettiest battles for control, survival and sexual conquest. These are the depths to which Scorpio can slide, represented by such entities as the Mafia, the Black Market and assassin groups. The second and most common form of Scorpio is the serpent; a being that recognizes the need for periodic renewal, regularly shedding old belief systems, habits and behaviors. These people are capable of some intense power struggles, but have learned the wisdom to let go when something no longer fits. These are the people who instinctually know how to be there for others during their most intense moments of loss and crisis. The third form of Scorpio is the Eagle. This Scorpio has learned a spiritual/universal perspective on life and therefore consciously seeks out ways to abolish their own useless ego-centered drives for power and control, instead seeking to relinquish control to their higher God-self. These people often feel a sense of some spiritual calling or mission in life to which they are willing to dedicate their entire being, thereby experiencing the highest bliss of unobstructed union with their Higher Self.

Everyone, not just Scorpio is capable of union with their Higher God Self and the placement of PLUTO in the Natal Chart describe how the individual would most want and need to experience this. PLUTO will make it’s presence felt mostly through the collective experiences of generations of people as they evolve as a group. In an individual PLUTO indicates the lessons and pre-ordained people and experiences that one must confront in order to evolve as a soul. For more information about how PLUTO influences you personally you may want to have a Natal Chart Interpretation.

Scorpio The Scorpion (October 23rd to November 22nd)

January 22nd, 2008 by auracle · No Comments

I am SCORPIO: Overwhelm me – Ruled by Pluto (and Mars)

I am SCORPIO: Overwhelm me - Ruled by Pluto (and Mars)The legend of the SCORPIO precedes them. Even before he or she enters the room, before they open their mouths to utter a peep the whole room has inexplicably hushed in anticipation. Everyone is watching, in that studied nonchalant way that betrays the fact that of course, they themselves are not SCORPIO’S. You see, to the SCORP himself, all this attention is annoyingly silly, trivial really. ‘So what if I’m a little bit intense,’ she thinks. ‘If they can’t handle it then they can just buzz off, I couldn’t care less,’ he tells himself. But secretly they wonder why other people are always so fascinated with them, why other people always seem to make up and believe these Machiavellian intrigues about them. ‘All I did was answer the phone,’ she scoffs, ‘and now everyone is buzzing on about how I am having a secret affair with that Italian Grand Prix driver. Hmm, he does have a nice ass though.’

Is she or isn’t she? It certainly wouldn’t be beyond the SCORPION to punish an inattentive or abusive partner or lover for their insouciance. And never mind the fact that sex in all it’s variations and permutations is endlessly fascinating to them, occupying more than enough of their mental real estate to qualify as a National Monument. It’s no wonder that they keep their mouths firmly shut, secreting away their private thoughts. After all, they understand all too well that if they let it slip that they think so-and-so has great curves, before they know it everyone will be eyeing them suspiciously.

You see SCORPIO’S are comfortable, no make that fascinated with power in all it’s forms and permutations. And since very few things really frighten them, they can’t understand why they should frighten everyone else. Spend the night in that haunted house? You bet! Says the SCORP, no wonder other people get a little bit uneasy around them sometimes.

On some level all SCORPIO’S are dealing with karma of feeling unwanted or deeply thwarted at a profound and deep level. For this reason he or she is fascinated with what makes all of humanity tick. Deep, searching and penetrating minds belong to these people, not to mention sexy, charismatic, magnetic, brooding personalities and eyes that bore right through you seeming to look into your very soul. Well, don’t bother trying to hide in there; they readily understand the most intense, overwhelming and often unconscious motives that exist in the human psyche. They already live there.

And this is why they are represented by not one but three symbols in Astrology. They learn about themselves through the concepts represented by their opposing power – TAURUS, namely consistency, stability, and self-sufficiency of resources and an appreciation of the physical. Once they have transcended the intense, reactive reptilian–brained reactions associated with the SCORPION, they learn to become the SERPENT, legendary for his healing and rejuvenating powers. You see once our slinky friend has learned to transcend his baser motives, he is glad to assist you in doing the same – provided that you are willing to be as honest as he was in looking into your own sub-conscious and confronting the demons that lurk there. And finally the EAGLE or sometimes the PHOENIX represents the highest form of SCORPIO. This is the light gentle incarnation of SCORPIO. These are the ones who soar on vision quests and lead the rest of us to an understanding and appreciation of a higher order.

If you love a SCORPIO, study Transcendental Meditation with them, or better yet, Tantric Yoga. Share your deepest secrets and thoughts with her, promise undying loyalty. Your sexy SCORPIO will find every secret passionate place within you and play you like a violin. They are really seeking depth, merging and connection. Once he has captured you, he wants to keep you for good.
